15.01.2022 Low Emotional Quotient that employees have may be taking a toll on their productivity level more than you realize. While their IQ is pretty much set, you can help them develop their EQ. According to our Leadership Expert, Dominic Siow - EQ Strategist: You can have the most logical, detailed, most exceptional strategy for achieving your objectives, but without the EQ to engage your stakeholders effectively, turn resistance to cooperation or even inspiration, deal with adversit...y, chances are you will end up with a pretty average result at best. Research has shown that only between 5-25% of one’s success is determined by one’s IQ (a measure of cognitive intelligence, ability to understand language or solve problems). So IQ and technical skills are really critical they allow you to say you’re qualified to play the game, but by itself does not determine how well you play the game! Your performance is largely determined by your EQ!

15.01.2022 Depending on your workload and the type of job you currently have, you may need to attend anywhere from two to 20 meetings each week. And yet many leaders agree that meetings are mostly a waste of time. They are ineffective and dragging, and most often they are spent talking about random things other than the actual agenda. While we can’t always refuse to attend meetings, we can increase the quality and effectiveness of our meetings so that our time is managed properly. Here are 5 P’s to help you plan better meetings:

13.01.2022 Whether it’s cleaning the house or doing an event, we use project management every day. We plan, execute, monitor, control and finish the things we set out to do. In business settings, however, it takes skills, knowledge and expertise to successfully conduct a project. This is where the role of a project manager is regarded with high importance, as they are the people who make sure that things get done according to plan. Read more to find out the basic aspects to note about project management:

13.01.2022 The role of a project manager is crucial to the success of the project. A project manager does not only manage the budget, timeline and things to do, he also manages the team morale and delegates the workload. Without a strong sense of leadership, a project manager may be qualified in terms of skills but he might not be able to settle conflicts that arise among his team members. 12.01.2022 Don't Run or Hide - Solve your problems! As humans, we face problems every day. Your client can suddenly file a complaint on that project or your boss can suddenly pick up on an error that has actually been there for months. 07.01.2022 Out of the 5 Ws - Who, What, When, Where and Why, the most important one is often the last one - WHY? Simply because, knowing "why" makes you understand. Without understanding the core reason behind something, you could never really do anything or solve any problem as thoroughly and as effectively as you possibly could. Happy Monday everyone, the blueVisions team wishes you a great week ahead :)

05.01.2022 Rules, regulations, policies, norms - the list goes on... people's freedoms can be restrained by so many different things in life - often for the good of the many - that you often wonder what is left that is truly yours. Thoughts, feelings, emotions, and your own reactions to things are at least some things that no one can take away from you. You are in control of how you choose to think, feel and react about anything in life.

Courageous colleagues from bV and IM coloured, cut and shaved for the cause. Local hairdressers volunteered their time for the shave, and the ponytails sheared from our brave team-mates, 20cm and longer, are now destined to make wigs for cancer patients, whil...e the shaved clippings may be transformed into compost or floating booms to absorb oil spills at sea. The bV and IM teams, families and friends supported our colleagues, raising an amazing $7,186.12. #cancer #shearing #clipping #im #blood If you’d like to support bV and IM in this initiative by donating to the Leukaemia Foundation visit our funding page at: https://secure.leukaemiafoundation.org.au//TeamFundraising

01.01.2022 Do you have an employee whose actions are just disruptive to the team? Imagine that you are holding a meeting and he is really disrespectful to the people presenting at the front. At first, you might try to ignore him, thinking that perhaps he is just having a bad day and soon enough he will be behaving as a professional once again. But as the meeting progresses, so does his disruptive behaviour. As a leader, how should you handle the situation? Do you confront the person in front of everyone? Do you act as if nothing happens?
