24.01.2022 How to be happy in a digital world? https://buff.ly/2J5IKK5 Happy in digital world Due to COVID-19 we all, at least most entrepreneurs need to find a (new) way to be happy in the digital world.... Happy in digital world Now let’s look at the word ‘digital’. Did you know that Digital is derived from the Latin word digitus, meaning finger, and refers to counting on the fingers. But it also refers to systems, processed in a numerical way. Whether it concerns your computer, photography, it is technology, this data-driven and online logic that helps you to be visible online as an entrepreneur. However, the energy that you put into those systems, your marketing is tangible for your customers. We all know that what touches your customers is the ‘ultimate nectar’ that bees attract, right? Now you may be wondering in what capacity nectar has to do with happiness in the digital world? I believe that in everything you do, the energy you bring into the ‘tasks’ of entrepreneurship ‘exhales’ in your marketing. For example, in the way you present and position yourself and how effectively and efficiently you use the digital world. Time is the most precious value, and to anyone who thinks it is a waste of time Ask someone who is sick or has become ill from the stress, to use all those systems and keep them running. You can not negotiate with death, unfortunately ;-) Being lazy Being lazy has enormous resistance in many people. Yet letting go, a deep dive into really being very lazy is a huge source of value. It is very important to let go of the digital and to ensure that your own happiness hormones remain activated. Many people don’t even know what makes them truly happy, do you? It is that inside feeling, that endurance of this contentment, that never stops existing. Getting curious about what the biggest overlooked secrets are? In this downloadable PDF, I reveal 6 ways on how to do that. Click https://buff.ly/35YabhO get the PDF

15.01.2022 6 apps I’m loving Posted by Adam Franklin https://buff.ly/2WeRVLx 6 apps I’m loving right now... Here are some (mostly) free tools and apps that I am loving at the moment. Marketing favourites: https://buff.ly/2M3t9YK is a great free transcription tool that you can use for videos and podcasts. What I love it that it even integrates with Zoom so you can get a full transcript of every Zoom meeting. Plus the free Otter app on your phone will transcribe live meetings and conversations in real time. You get 600 ‘free’ minutes each month. The only downside is the accuracy isn’t as good as this next tool. https://buff.ly/Yuw26b is the gold standard of video transcription. At just $1 per minute, and delivered back to you within 1 day (and often as fast one hour), this is what I use for the video transcriptions in my online courses and social media videos. Splasheo is a paid tool that adds captions and a title to your videos. You may have noticed the new format of videos I’ve shared lately. It’s all done by the team at Splasheo. It’s $99 per month, but there’s a 7 day trial where you can get 4 videos done for free. Personal faves Readwise is a free tool that takes all your Kindle highlights, and emails a handful of them back to you in a daily email. I find it useful for re-surfacing all the best bits from books I’ve read over the last few years. Zero is the fasting app I use to keep track of my ‘time restricted eating’ / ‘intermittent fasting’. It’s free and available on the App Store and Google Play. If you want to fully geek out on fasting and its health impacts, I’m loving Dr Peter Attia‘s work. Daily Stoic is a great website for all things Stoic philosophy. It’s based on the book by Ryan Holiday. What I love is the free daily emails where you receive a short (~500 word) email inspired by Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus, and more. [NB. *most of these tools are free, with the option to upgrade to premium accounts. Some links in this email are referral links which means I stand to earn a small commission if you upgrade.] So that’s a little snapshot of the tools I am into at the moment. What’s a cool tool you’re loving that I should know about?

15.01.2022 Why do I give away lead magnets with no opt-in? [#130] https://buff.ly/39ciKrf Why give away lead magnets with no registration? [Brisbane, Queensland, QLD, Australia]... VIDEO: Why I give away lead magnets https://buff.ly/2J6dFGp TRANSCRIPT: Why do I give away lead magnets for free on LinkedIn with no opt-in? Today’s question is: Why do I give away my marketing templates for free, with no opt in, when I offer them on LinkedIn, as opposed to sending people to a registration page, where they go into some type of funnel? This is a question from Simon, who’s one of my LinkedIn contacts. And the reason for this is because I like to lead with generosity and also keep the friction nice and low when I’m offering something to somebody else. You need a lead magnet for no opt-in To me, it doesn’t quite seem right to make an offer and then make people jump through hoops in order to get it. Now, once I actually deliver the PDF that I’ve promised, well it’s a bit further down the track that I invite people to join what I guess you would call a marketing funnel. From that lead magnet I invite people to my marketing funnel email sequence You may have noticed this if we’ve interacted, but I’ll send you the PDF as promised, no opt in, and then, typically once people write back and say: Hey, thanks for sending me that, Then I will usually send some sort of invitation to register for a webinar or maybe some other marketing templates that are related to what I’ve just sent you. And it’s then that people can decide, Okay, do I want to register and put my name and email address in to receive the rest of the information? That’s how my process works. Then they willingly go into my marketing funnel after receiving value first I think that sits most comfortably with me, because typically, if you’re making an offer and then say, Actually, you’ve actually got to register and receive all my emails. To me, that just doesn’t sit right, so lead with generosity, low friction, lots of value, and then hopefully they want to register for the next stage of the journey. My name is Adam Franklin. Hope that helps.

07.01.2022 Why marketing is important to me [#132] https://buff.ly/2Vk0XGJ Why is marketing important? [Cargo Wharf, Melbourne CBD, Victoria, Australia]... VIDEO: https://buff.ly/3mbI8RK Today’s question is: Why marketing is important to me? TRANSCRIPT: Why digital marketing is important to me Hey there, it’s Adam Franklin. And in this video, I just want to share why marketing is important to me. And to share, I guess, my philosophy and my approach to it because I understand that there’s lots of different approaches out there, some of which rub me the wrong way, others don’t, and I’ve chosen to emulate the types of marketing and the types of communication that have resonated most with me. When I first started Bluewire back in 2005, we were very heavily influenced by people like David Meerman Scott and Seth Godin, and what I loved about their approach was that marketing should be helpful, marketing should be generous and that has been an approach that we have tried to embody and emulate at Bluewire. You will have noticed, most likely that we release a whole bunch of free marketing templates. And we hold nothing back. These are very often the exact same templates we use with our own clients, and I’ll share all of those with you shortly. Generous marketing But, what I have found is that if we can use marketing from a generous perspective and not make people jump through a million hoops just to get anything valuable, but have low friction, lead with some of your best stuff, but always have a journey that people can go on with you. But always have a journey that people can go on with you. That’s what I teach my private clients. But as well as that, it’s not just, my material isn’t just for my private clients, like, there’s 30,000 people that subscribe to the Bluewire News and I want to create stuff that is useful for everybody as well as my private clients. Digital marketing journey What you’ll hopefully experience with the marketing material that I share is that it’s useful on it’s own, and it guides you to the next step of the journey. You can take that journey as fast or as slow as you like. That’s what I encourage you to consider as well. What have you already got that’s useful? What can you share with the world? And what journey can you take your clients on with you? So, if you would like my free marketing templates, there’s a link to that or just leave a comment saying templates and I’ll make sure they’re going to find their way to you. That’s a bit of a snapshot of my marketing philosophy: Low friction, be generous, take people on a journey with you, and if that appeals, then stick around, have a look at all my templates, follow my blog and I’ll see you on future videos or on my regular Bluewire News email. My name is Adam Franklin. Hope that helps.

06.01.2022 How to handle rejection on LinkedIn [#133] https://buff.ly/33gwcXt Reframing rejection on LinkedIn. [Paddington, Brisbane, Australia]... VIDEO: How to handle rejection on LinkedIn https://buff.ly/36cVR5k Today’s question is: TRANSCRIPT Today’s question is, how do you deal with rejection on LinkedIn? It’s a very common question from my coaching clients. I understand why you might be feeling this way, because when we reach out to people, when we put content out into the world, there’s a very real chance that you’re going to get: a no, you’re going to get silence, you’re going to get ghosted. Feeling a sense of rejection on LinkedIn and ho to reframe it It’s very natural to feel a sense of rejection when this happens. But the key thing to remember here, that it’s a mindset shift. 1. ‘No’ isn’t the end of the world. A no means that somebody has taken the time to consider your offer, and has the courtesy to get back to you. It’s just that the time isn’t right, right now. So make a note of that, follow them up later, and keep them in the loop with what you’re doing by publishing content on LinkedIn, by circling back around in a few month’s time. It’s totally okay. 2. ‘Silence’ means not ready yet Secondly, if you get silence, if you write to somebody and they don’t write back, look, that’s perfectly OK too because people aren’t always ready, right now, for the services or the solutions that you offer. So, again, just keep publishing content, doing your thing, knowing that when the time is right for them, they will already know, like, and trust you so you will be the person they reach out to. 3. ‘Ghosting’ means not ready yet Thirdly, if you experience getting ghosted, as in, you start a conversation with somebody, you hear back from them, and all of a sudden they go quiet, that’s okay! Sometimes life gets in the way, they get busy, but they have indicated their interest, so make it easy for them. Go back to them and say, Hey, I didn’t hear from you. Are you still interested? And when you do this, it brings the conversation back to the surface, and you can explore that relationship with them. If they still continue to ghost, that’s okay. This is all part of the process of lead gen, and prospecting, and marketing. Keep prospects warm You’re looking for the people who are ready for your services right now. At the same time, those that aren’t ready right now, keeping them warm and keeping them in the loop. Reframe it as not rejection but you’re guiding people on a journey, at various points in time they will be ready and you will be there, and everything else is just part of the signalling, part of the journey. That’s how to handle rejection on LinkedIn With that mindset shift, lead gen, prospecting, and marketing on LinkedIn should be a fun activity. And it should hopefully help address your fear of rejection. And it should hopefully help address your fear of rejection. My name is Adam Franklin. Hope that helps.

04.01.2022 TRANSCRIPT: Today I'm going to talk to you about 5 ways to leverage your content without any real extra effort. So, firstly, if you're doing a piece of content, like say a video, well, obviously record the video and post that. That's one way. Then what you might like to do is get a transcript of the video. So, send it off to Rev.com, for example, and get a transcript that can serve as the basis for a blog post on your website. Then take that blog post and put it up as a Link...edIn article. Take that blog post and post it natively to Medium. And if you want to, you could post it to sites like Quora. And I find that way, you've got content for 5 different platforms. Of course, the video itself can go to YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, too. And as a bonus tip, you may also like to then do a short cheat sheet or checklist of your tips and make that available as a PDF, as a download. Whether you put it on a landing page, behind an opt-in form, or whether you just give it freely, that's totally up to you. But one short video can turn into all those different types of content. If you don't like doing videos and you're more of a writer, well, write an article to gather your thoughts and everything and then maybe read that article out as a video. It could be on a teleprompter type of thing and read it whilst looking at the camera. Take it as a podcast and leverage it that way. So there you go. 5, plus a few bonus tips, ways to leverage your content without any real extra effort. Hope that helps! PS. When you're ready, here are 5 ways I can help you grow: 1. Download the Web Strategy Planning Template (PDF). Our flagship 1-page tool we co-created with David Meerman Scott. It’s been downloaded over 1 million times and featured on Forbes. https://www.bluewiremedia.com.au/web-strategy-planning-temp 2.
