24.01.2022 ** A reminder to all club members** We are currently running an on-line poll to select a logo for the newly mandated BMW Clubs International design guidelines. If you have not or you are having troubles with it, please contact any of the club committee for assistance. The poll closes this Sunday night @ 8pm.

24.01.2022 Great to see a number of new members on this run. Due to CoVid restriction, the field was split into two groups and we did not have an organised lunch at the end of the run, but we did have a location for a picnic....RAIN! bugger.

22.01.2022 Just looking at yesterday’s big Apple announcement where they launched a new laptop with their latest & greatest technology, the M1 chip. I wonder where they got the inspiration for that name.... and the colour pallet for their graphic... Yep, I drink both the Apple and BMW Kool-aid!

17.01.2022 #BMW M is a subsidiary of #German #car manufacturer BMW AG. M was launched in May of 1972. BMW M, is also known as M-Technik or just M (for Motorsport). The... very first M badged car for sale to the public was the #M1, revealed at the #Paris Motor Show in 1978. The direction of the M cars changed with the 1979 release of the M535i, which was a high performance version of BMW’s popular 5-Series mid-size sedan. Since 1978 BMW M has offered modified versions of nearly every car on BMW’s production line. Blue stands for BMW, red for motorsport and violet for the unique combination of the two. . This is just one of the many bits from our upcoming book called MOTO LOGO INFO - Filled with stories and history behind the meaning of certain automotive industry logos, emblems and names. #design #segura #print #book #brochure #branding #identity #automotive #cars #emblem #vehicles #logos #cartype #type #typography https://cartype.com/pages/58/bmw_m

04.01.2022 So, that didn’t go as planned! The intension was to live stream Fridays Club meeting on the BMWCQ Group Facebook page. We set up and all was good. At the last minute, we had to switch the iPhone to another app and when we set it up again, I went LIVE on my facebook page, not the clubs. SORRY, everyone who was expecting to see it on our club page was disappointed. Anyway, halfway through the evening, I checked and saw something was wrong, and switched to Club Queensland page.... At least the best part went out to the club, the virtual tour of BMW Car Club of America Foundation ‘GENESIS tour by expat Ian Branston It was poor quality as I filmed it off the screen...So to make up. Here is the full video. I will be repackaging the entire meeting and making it available to everyone soon.. Again, my apologies.. BTW, If you are interested in the book, let us know here at the club so we can save money by bulk purchase/shipping! See more

02.01.2022 It’s not Christmas just yet, but we can still show off some treats. Like the BMW 330i Limousine (E46), the Z3 roadster 3.0i and coupé 3.0i (E36/7), and the X5 3.0i (E53). Which do you most want to see under your tree?
