24.01.2022 Tomorrow will officially be the last day of BMX Victoria in its current format. From the 1st of November, we all move over to the new organisation, Auscycling. I am sure in the long term, this will be the best decision for BMX in Victoria and Australia. Over the last 18 months, I believe the current Board has moved to improve all aspects of BMX in Victoria, and it hasn't been without a few hurdles in the way. 09.01.2022 BMXV COVID Update - October 2nd 2020 As numbers continue to drop and the government road map is beginning to be actioned, we will see more opportunities for people to ride towards the end of the year. We’re excited that regional Victoria is already moving forward with current restrictions letting some riders get out on track now. As riders and volunteers get back to the track it’s important to ensure your BMX Australia licence is current and club specific covid safe plans are... followed by all parties. To assist clubs in returning to ride in a socially distanced covid safe environment BMX Victoria with the assistance of Medical Response are donating a hand sanitizer dispenser to every club, along with 5 litres of sanitizer. Thanks to Patrick and his team for assisting with sourcing and coordinating the delivery of these to clubs. Healthy BMX clubs are the lifeblood of our sport and we acknowledge the pathway back to BMX starts with healthy & regular club activities. With this in mind, the board of BMX Victoria have made the tough decision to cancel all Open events for the remainder of 2020, including the 2020 State Series. We love open events with the whole BMX family getting together and can’t wait for restrictions to ease to a point that allows this to happen. Whilst the 2020 State Series has been cancelled, we appreciate the importance of junior development and the positive response to the announcement at the start of the year that the 2021 junior development program would be picked from the 2020 State Series results. An announcement will be made Monday in relation to the 2021 junior development program. Until then, stay safe, stay healthy & stay awesome #wewillrideagain

07.01.2022 Anyone who undertakes and helps at an event or activity in a range of capacities (e.g. marshall, commentator, canteen, track setup) or simply assists their club... with general activities (e.g. track / trail working bees) does NOT need an AusCycling membership. There are a range of other roles throughout the sport including coaches, skills instructors, commissaires and club officers and officials where some form of membership is required. Anyone defined in any of the Other Roles listed below will need to hold the required AusCycling membership category to be accredited in the role.
