19.01.2022 Looking back, I am still incredibly pleased with this renovation. These photos do not show the entire job or the work that went in to it, although it does show how small changes can totally change the feel of a space. New builds are something, though nothing makes me happier than seeing an old space renewed into something fresh and functional. Especially knowing the often tedious process it takes to achieve both it and client satisfaction, why wouldn't you be stoked! #renovation #bngbuilding #illlawarrabuilder #throwbackthursday

17.01.2022 Who likes large format tiles? It is always a worthwhile investment to re-plumb walls or install new studs where needed to ensure flat walls in your bathroom reno, especially in regard to larger tiles, if you don't want to be looking at lippage, drifting grout lines and an all round average job for years to come. We have been quiet on here for a little while, so to kick things off here's a few snaps of our last bathroom reno prior to final fit off. 600x600 porcelain tiles, black hardware and free standing tub. #renovation #bathroom #illawarrabuilder #bngbuilding

16.01.2022 Some of you are still off work so when did you last look underneath or around your home for termite activity? If you're sitting on piers or opted for an exposed slab edge on your home you should especially have an inspection at least once a year, if not more frequently in many areas. All homes should, which in many cases forms part of your warranty. Chemical barriers have a life span, and many physical barriers such as the old 'ant cap' only slow the path for termites, it do...es not eliminate it. These photos are from a recent job where there had been 'some' termite activity. Lucky for the client the damage was isolated and remediation was minimal, but this could have been worse. The bearers underneath the house were seated on leaning piers (now straightened) meaning larger spans on the timber, working beyond capacity, combined with termite damage, they were on the verge of failure. 01.01.2022 Apologies to anyone trying to call through yesterday or today. I switched over to a new service provider and was left disconnected. All fixed now! On the plus side we have a working camera again! #illawarrabuilder #bngbuilding
