21.01.2022 What happens when you decide you aren’t happy with a bit of scenery that was built over 6 years ago and never completed? Well you remove it. I haven’t been happy with this cutting for some time as it never looked realistic and with the recent changes on this section with the realignment of the mainlines, I thought time to alter this hill to.

21.01.2022 A productive weekend (has been a while since I’ve had one) planting trees, touching up the back drop and working on blending a tunnel into the scenery.

20.01.2022 Dirt makes the terrain look good, grass brings it to life, but ballasting track makes a scene look complete. It’s amazing the difference a bit of ballast makes. Yet to come is trees, but I still need to find time to make those. Tunnel entrance yet to be installed, then the remainder of the hill above the tracks.

11.01.2022 Recently painted the wall along the back of the industrial spur, this has changed the look of this area dramatically. Planning is underway for the backdrop buildings and painting the backdrop to blend it all in.

09.01.2022 Some more scenery progress this past week. I’ve started building the tunnel for the staging entrance, there will also be a gravel yard and rail loading facility on the siding next to the mainline at top (not pictured)
