15.01.2022 After months of COVID 19 restrictions there is light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, the restrictions will be eased and Masjids will be opened for regular prayers gradually. It is expected from first week of June 2020 permission will be granted to congregate 20 people at our Masjids. In anticipation of these developments Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) has released the following guidelines for Masjids and Community Centres. Board of Imams Victoria urge the Muslim community to adhere to these guidelines to protect us and all the Australians from this devastating viral infection. Please keep away from anything that could be construed as 'breaking the law' to avoid any hefty fines or closure of Masjid again. Your cooperation with your local Imam and the Masjid administration is required to keep Australia free from COVID 19.
