24.01.2022 Dear guests and friends, The Boat House is involved with a project very close to our heart, and we’d love you to join us in support. The 2019 Black Summer bushfires in the Hunter Valley revealed 7 ex-trotter horses that had been living wild and badly neglected for many years. A group formed to raise money to take care of them, land was donated to house them safely, and a daily feeding roster created to ensure these old boys have a peaceful twilight life. 10.01.2022 Every year 10 ladies go away together for a 4 day weekend. This year was my turn in organising and I chose BoatHouse on Hawkesbury. What a choice! The venue is so peaceful and yet so close to civilisation if needed. The house is of mammoth proportions and just perfect for a large group. The bedrooms all have ensuites with baths and are all large. The inside pool was perfect for us as we had a bit of rain one day but could still enjoy having a swim. The spa on the rooftop has ...magnificent views for sunset drinks and got used every day. The kitchen is well stocked with all the things necessary for easy cooking along with the bbq. Plenty of room for guests to be by themselves if they want or to be near others. We had a beautician come and give us all a facial which was luxurious and Secret Dining to take over our kitchen on Saturday night and cook us an unforgettable meal that was delicious and plentiful - the dessert was to die for! Fishing from the wharf area was successful and getting to Dangar Island for a walk around is very easy. I highly recommend BoatHouse on Hawkesbury for a relaxing and luxurious weekend away with friends and family. Loretta was a pleasure to deal with and made our stay very easy by answering all of our questions before we got there. ......comments from last weekends guests.
