I wanted to ride out into a desert on camelback, sand and dunes in every direction, eat whole roasted lamb with my fingers. I wanted to kick snow off my boots in a Mafiya nightclub in Russia. I wanted to play with automatic weapons in Phnom Penh, recapture the past in a small oyster village in France, step into a seedy neon-lit pulqueria in rural Mexico. I wanted to run roadblocks in ...the middle of the night, blowing past angry militia with a handful of hurled Marlboro packs, experience fear, excitement, wonder. I wanted kicks the kind of melodramatic thrills and chills I’d yearned for since childhood, the kind of adventure I’d found as a little boy in the pages of my Tintin comic books. 15.01.2022 One of our most popular and luxurious activities chosen on our retreats is the FULL DAY CHARTER sailing experience in the comfort of a 41ft Beneteau Oceanic Crusing Yacht For those who want to enjoy a full day on the yacht, choose the the full day option (at a discounted rate) you have time to see the Busselton Jetty the same way the early sailors would have seen it 'from the sea' the Busselton Jetty is the longest Jetty in the southern Hemisphere and well worth a look whil...e you are in the South West. Along with the Jetty is another feature unique to Western Australia, long uninterrupted white sandy beaches as far as the eye can see. On the cruise the Skipper will stay close to the beach so you can enjoy the view on your way to the Jetty. Often seen on this cruise are Dolphins and Whales. Alternatively we can cruise towards the Cape and see the lighthouse or spend the day lounging in a beautiful bay swimming and relaxing under the extended shade cover, sun bathing on the fore deck cushions or relaxing on the blow up donuts in the water next to the yacht. ... 02.01.2022 Push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. Go to the nearest hill or beach with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise. Push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. Wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable. Spend time outside, feel the sunshine on your skin. Get into the habit of cooking yourself breakfast. Fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an ...egg, slice up a fresh avocado. Sit and eat it and do nothing else. Stretch. Start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. Roll your head. Stretch your fingers. Buy a 1L water bottle. Start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice. Buy a diary and a pen. Write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day, thoughts. No detail is too small. Strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. Wash them and then hang them in the sunshine with care. Make your bed fresh. Dig your fingers into the earth, plant a seed. See your success as it grows everyday. Organise your room. Fold all your clothes (and bag what you don’t want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. Light a beautiful candle or incense. Breathe. Practice your deep breathing. Ground yourself. Have a long shower with your favourite music playing. Wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. Lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck. Push yourself to go for a walk. Smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. Bring your dog and observe the dog’s behaviour. Realise you can learn from your dog. Message old friends. Suggest a catch up soon, and make it happen. Think long and hard about what interests you. Crime? Sex? Leadership? Religion? Money? Plants? Find a book about it and read it. Become the person you would ideally fall in love with. Let cars merge into your lane when driving. Buy a coffee for the next person in line. Help an animal. Compliment people. Challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. Then two. Then a week. Walk with a straight posture. Look people in the eye. Ask people about their story and listen. Lie in the sunshine. Daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasn’t a thing. Open your eyes. Take small steps to a better you. Thank you for your words Rachael Galloway
