23.01.2022 Today is looking good

22.01.2022 Whilst the Premier has said that Moreton and North Stradbroke will be open for day visits this weekend, and the Restricted Access to Designated Areas has been amended to remove those places (https://www.health.qld.gov.au//restricted-access-to-design), MSQ havent yet posted an update on the Notices to Mariners removing the 100 metre exclusion zones (which were originally up to 29/5). Keep an eye on Notices to Mariners for any updates MSQ post this afternoon (https://www.publications.qld.gov.au//brisbane-notices-to-m). Well be watching for them too :-)

22.01.2022 For boaties going on the water this long weekend, please be aware that there are multiple Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) Notices to Mariners and QLD Chief Health Officer (CHO) Directions that restrict access to North Stradbroke and Moreton Islands with very limited exceptions. Police have advised that they will be enforcing MSQ NTM and CHO essential travel checks on land and water this weekend. Redland City Council suggests island residents have proof of permanent island re...sidential address ready to show to enforcement officers. Please be considerate of fellow boaties, observe social distances on the ramps and the water and avoid non-essential travel. Have a safe weekend. VMR Raby Bay is operational if you need on-water assistance.
