22.01.2022 This is Georgie's story... "The Bodykind Program has absolutely been worth it for me, not just because I now have a waist (!!!!), but also because I have a much better understanding of my Diastasis, and I can see that it is possible to progress towards healing the gap. After two pregnancies, I was left with a large pot belly and an umbilical hernia, which my doctors said would need surgery, especially as the hernia was slowly increasing in size. I hated the way my tummy lo...oked. I was limited to wearing the baggiest clothes, although my legs and arms were a size 10, my tummy meant I could only wear size 12 or 14. I was pretty sure I couldn't do splinting or binding, because every time I had worn shapewear I had ended up feeling sick. So for three years I tried all sorts of online "postpartum-safe" exercise programs, that promised to heal my abdominal separation through exercises and alignment alone. Although they were highly motivating for losing my post-baby weight and for getting into a gentle and regular exercise routine, my abdominal separation and hernia were getting worse. I finally decided to try BodyKind, and committed myself by purchasing the 9 week program with face-to-face consultations. I learnt so much after my consultations with Claire. I hadn't been moving Diastisis-safe when exercising or looking after the kids, and my Diasastis, which I thought was about 2.5cm, was actually 7cm. Although I still don't like splinting, it worked amazingly fast. Within a few days I was amazed to see I had a waist again for the first time in years. I have been doing the program for 10 weeks now, and I still have a way to go, but my gap is reducing. I even bought new wardrobe for work to celebrate having a waist again. I am definitely in this for the long haul, because I know that if I stop early, my gap will re-open. I see it as a rehabilitation process after an injury, my abdominal muscles and connective tissue need to be healed before I can move onto other exercises or stop splinting. Also, honestly, the results are so good that they are worth all the hard work." . . . #bodykind #diastasisrecti #abdominalseparation #pregnancy #postpartumbody #postnatal #postnatalfitness #postnatalexercise #postpartumjourney #postpartumworkout #postpartumhealth #prenatalfitness #prenatalworkout #corerestore #tummycheck #fitpregnancy #prenatal #bodyafterbaby #diastasisrectirepair #diastasisrectirecovery #mums #mummy #mummytummy #parenting #strongasamother #pregnancyisbeautiful #postpartum #hernia

03.01.2022 'A Mother's Love' by Helen Steiner Rice A Mother's love is something that no one can explain, It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain... It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may... For nothing can destroy it or take that love away... It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking... It beleives beyond believing when the world around condemns, And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems... It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation, And it still remains a secret liek the mysteries of creation... A many splendoured miracle man cannot understand And another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand. Gorgeous pic of SA Trainer, Clair Holmes.
