02.01.2022 Our thoughts on Coronavirus // Firstly, stress & panic compromise our immune system making it more susceptible to illness so let’s remember that no matter what’s going on in the world we need to approach it with calmness, kindness & unity if we want to accomplish good things. We understand that what is happening is anxiety provoking & that it is natural to worry but try your best to do your part by staying calm, logical & focused. Covid-19 wasn’t taken seriously by all but th...e fact is that the virus is much more contagious than the regular flu. The elderly & people with pre-existing conditions are at high risk of complications & death if they contract the virus. It is only fair that as a community we respect others by being mindful of the virus. This is not something that if we simply ignore will slip away quietly, in fact we can see that it has multiplied & very quickly. Therefore, the following are very important right now: Physical hygiene, staying home, social distancing, working from home (if possible), keeping children home from school, being mindful & intentional with your actions. We can see what has happened in countries like China & Italy. Let it be a lesson. We need to understand that this is serious & that precautionary measures need to be put in place. It is not just a matter of cough into your elbow & wash your hands. Our borders should have been closed immediately in order to prevent the spread of the virus but now that it is here we need to do what we can as individuals & as a community. We encourage you to check in once daily & educate yourself & those around you as to what is happening but only from reputable sources. Don’t have fear, but don’t be ignorant. In the meantime, don’t let it consume you, use this time to re-evaluate what is important in your life, the importance of health & wellness, practice gratitude, spend time at home with loved ones, meditate, journal, cook, bake, stretch, sing and dance! & remember, THIS TOO SHALL PASS & we pray that we take what we have learnt from this experience & implement it in ways to make this planet a healthier, more kind place to live.
