23.01.2022 Bella got the ALL CLEAR from Dr. Richard and took her Free Heartworm blood test in her stride today..... the blue bandage however caused an altogether different stride than usual . Call us on 47516677 if you're concerned that you have lapsed or are late with your doggo's Heartworm Prevention..... Prevention is always better than cure but Heartworm IS treatable.

23.01.2022 I interrupt the COVID-19 pandemic to bring you what just happend to me at Coles... I went to Coles to buy a bag of food for my dog Halo. I'm in line for self checkout, a woman behind me asked me if I had a dog. I stare at her (those who know me will imagine my 'look') why would I be buying dog food... right?... So on impulse I told her no, that I didn’t have a dog, that I was starting the dog food diet again, and that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital the last time, but 15 kilos less! I told her that it was the perfect diet and that all you had to do is carry the biscuits in your bag and eat one or two every time you feel hungry (I have to mention that practically everyone in line was interested in my story). Shocked, the woman asks me if I ended up in the hospital because the dog food had poisoned me. I answered...of course not! I was admitted because I bent down to smell the ass of another dog and I was hit by a car!! I thought the man behind her was going to have a heart attack...he was laughing so hard! I have to confess... this is of course was made up to make you smile It's your turn to copy/paste it and make someone else laugh. We need to laugh more! Have a GREAT DAY

23.01.2022 Winter has hit early in Townsville it seems. With the cooler days and nights our pets can suffer just as much as we do. Often it’s when the cooler weather hits that we notice telling signs of Arthritis in our animals. Please keep an eye on your furry friends as the weather cools and call us if they are showing any signs of soreness. There is a lot we can do to keep them more comfortable if they suffer from arthritis. To learn more visit our website https://www.bohlevet.com.au/Osteoarthritisinpets.aspx or give us a call on 47516677.

22.01.2022 We have been having some issues with our phones this morning. All fixed now if anyone has been trying to contact us.

20.01.2022 Today is world suicide Prevention Day. Bohle Vet would like to acknowledge all who are struggling or have struggled with mental health issues in the past. It's time to stop the stigma surrounding mental health and depression. Please check on your mates, family and co-workers.

19.01.2022 Thinking about going on holidays this summer? Has your pet had a vaccination against contagious diseases in the last 12 months? Don't leave it to the last minute to check your pet's vaccination status. Boarding facilities often require pets to be vaccinated at least 2 weeks before they go on holiday and if cats are overdue they need to be done at least 6 weeks before they go. If you are taking your pets away with you it is equally important that they be protected against contagious diseases and parasites. Call Bohle Vet 47516677 to find out if your pet is fully protected.

05.01.2022 Pets on medication!! Just a reminder to all owners who have pets on medications to stock up over the Christmas/New Year period. Due to the public holidays & the Christmas postal rush, we may experience some delays in getting your pet's medications in on time. If you need more of your pet's medications remember to contact the clinic to place the order. Please ensure you order your pet's medications well before they run out.

04.01.2022 In all seriousness though..... Please follow government advice. We have social distancing measures in place at our clinic to be able to help keep our community healthy. Please use sanitizer provided and if there is already someone in the waiting room, let us know you are here and make use of our beautiful grounds to spread out until we can bring you through.

03.01.2022 Heartworm is rife in Townsville at the moment. We have just completed a study of dogs that have been on regular monthly protection. We found that 25% of dogs were still testing positive to Heartworm. This has been mainly due to owner complience (let's face it life gets in the way sometimes.) If you are concerned that you may have missed or been late with tablets please book in for a test 47516677.

03.01.2022 COVID-19 & VISITING THE CLINIC - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW... We value the wellbeing of our clients and staff and want to be able to continue to look after your pets in these uncertain times. T...his does mean we are asking for your co-operation when visiting the clinic in the coming months.
