23.01.2022 Every year at 11 am on 11 Novemberthe eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh monthwe pause to remember those men and women who have died or suffered in all wars, conflicts and peace operations. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. As the world welcomed peace, thousands returned home to much fanfare, and their loved ones. Thousands more never made the journey home. While we are unable to mark this year’s Remembrance Day by gathe...ring together, this year at Boisdale, all classes will view a Remembrance Day Service that will be streamed online by the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. Please see below for the event information if families would also like to view it from home.

15.01.2022 --DRINK BOTTLES-- Students and families are reminded to bring drink bottles to school everyday. Current coronavirus restrictions means that the drinking taps at school aren't allowed to be used and students should bring their own drink bottles instead. As the weather warms up it is extremely important that students remember to bring their drink bottles. At recess and lunchtimes drink bottles can be left outside the classroom door so that students can access their drink bottl...es during these break times. Thank you for your support with this. Dan Clark -Principal

13.01.2022 --Grade 3-6 Swimming Carnival-- The swimming carnival for our Grade 3-6 students previously scheduled to take place at the Stratford Outdoor Pool on Friday the 19th of February is permitted to go ahead. However, as a result of the community public gathering limit restrictions, spectators will not be permitted to attend. Students, school staff and venue staff will only be granted access to the venue. ... Previously engaged parent volunteers will be counted as ‘school staff’ for the purpose of this event. We will be contacting those parent volunteers directly today to confirm arrangements with them. Unfortunately no other parents or visitors will be granted access to the pool. We thank you for your understanding and support in helping us adhere to these community based restrictions. I’m sure we are all thankful that we can still provide this wonderful experience to our students, even without parents in attendance. Further information regarding updated COVIDSafe practices will be included in today's newsletter. --Dan Clark, Principal

10.01.2022 --COVIDSafe Practices-- We are expecting to hear from the Department of Education within the next day in regards to what COVIDSafe practices and measures may be re-introduced with the return of on-site schooling. As these updates will likely not filter through before the start of the school day tomorrow, we are informing families that they are welcome on-site and in classrooms but they must wear a mask at all times, follow room density limits and maintain 1.5m distance from o...thers. We thank you for your co-operation and support with these measures. We are hopeful to provide further updates in tomorrow's newsletter. Regards Dan Clark, Principal
