19.01.2022 Moreton Shores retirement village resident Linda celebrated her 100th birthday this week with family & friends. She received so many flowers she said she wasn't sure where she'd put them all. Linda showed us her beautiful gems she has fossicked over the years including 2 stones which she had made into a ring. Linda was gifted a commemorative Bolton Clarke Centenarian Club teacup to welcome her into her centenary. #HappyBirthday Linda!

16.01.2022 When Fernhill's new residential aged care building opens in just a few weeks, visitors and residents may recognise some of the names given to key areas of the new state of the art aged care community. Among them, the Shaw Wellness Centre, named for Matron Gwenda Shaw, an Order of Australia Medal recipient, nurse of 30 years and often referred to as 'Caboolture's Florence Nightingale.' For the past eight years, that home and haven has been our Fernhill retirement village where she feels "safe and looked after, secure too but independent." Ellen is looking forward to enjoying a coffee in the Jacaranda Café and using the Fernhill gym when it opens. She volunteers to deliver the village newsletter to her fellow residents on her buggy. 12.01.2022 Ajay from Winston Glades Early Education Centre was absolutely thrilled to catch up with his new best friend Jeffrey last week when the children visited our @BoltonClarkeMilfordGrange aged care residents for the second time in 12 months! This intergenerational playtime enriches the lives of adults and children alike - one of our precious kindergarteners was devastated to leave resident Val whom she had bonded with over the course of the morning. Ajay too has been looking forward to catching up with his new best mate and made him this card at home in between visits.

At Milford Grange, 101 year old Ralph Edwards was joined by fellow centenarian Thelma Young and Army Warrant Officer Class Two Steve Bartlett. #lestweforget

She says helping out has been really rewarding. "I think it’s great that people can benefit from what I am doing up here. I really like to help, because we’ve been so safe up here especially in the retirement village.

Thelma from Milford Grange aged care community and at home support client Eileen Bailes were both presented with commemorative Bolton Clarke Centenarian Club teacups to mark their 100th birthdays.
