From a single nurse walking the streets of Melbourne attending to the poor and sick in their homes, to 'Kingshome' - the very first Queensland War Veterans' Home in Taringa, we honour the work two of our organisations early leaders, Sir William Bolton and Lady Janet Clarke started. This #AgedCareEmployeeDay we celebrate their legacy and say #thanksforcaring to the team members that have supported our clients, residents, veterans, the homeless, pregnant mothers and our older population for over 200 years. #ACED2020 #wecaredifferently

She oversaw our Fernhill community in the 1980's and was awarded an OAM in 1994. She began her nursing career at 17, training in Victoria, going against her family's wishes that she take on secretarial work. She worked at Ferhill for over 18 years.

03.01.2022 The residents at Galleon Gardens have been very thankful for their video calls, using brand new iPads that have been rolled out to Bolton Clarke aged care communities to support virtual visits with families overseas & interstate. "The looks on the residents' faces are priceless when they see their family on the screen for the first time," said Diversional Therapist Gwen. Families can also download our "Hello Nan and Pop" pack from our website to help support connection with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

02.01.2022 Today we gathered together over 300 years of wisdom as our centenarians Helen and Eva, both 100, joined 102 year old Bert for a special Seniors Week High Tea. All three were presented with commemorative Bolton Clarke Centenarian Club Teacups to mark the special occasion. This year, we will welcome 166 seniors into the Bolton Clarke Centenarian Club. And you might just spot these three on 9 News Gold Coast tonight at 6pm!
