24.01.2022 Residents at Inverpine aged care community have been planting rosemary for #ANZACDay2020 as part of their ongoing gardening project "Lets Dig In." Rosemarys significance at #ANZACDay dates back to WWI. Tradition has it that a wounded Digger brought home a small rosemary bush from ANZAC Cove, which was planted in the grounds of the Army Hospital at Keswick, South Australia. ... Cuttings from this original plant were taken and propagated in nurseries all over Australia, and sprigs of rosemary are worn to this day by attendees at ANZAC Day ceremonies as a fragrant reminder of the fallen.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to our Inverpine "Lets Dig In" gardening Team for their support to our residents and contribution to making our garden a big success! They have just been named the WINNERS of the Leading Age Services Australia Awards for Excellence in aged care - Team Category! Thanks to the Bolton Clarke Research Institute and to Cath from Soil to Supper for her support! We want to especially congratulate our Diversional Therapist Rekha Singh for all her hard work on the project and thank our volunteer Joan, from the retirement village, for her wonderful contributions and support! Last, but certainly not least, our residents for their keen participation and enthusiasm!

18.01.2022 We love it when our community comes together! We recently held an Ekka-themed fun day for our residents and extended community and Little Noah was thrilled to go in for a hug with the farm animals! Noahs great grandad and great-great uncle both were residents in our community and his family are related to one of our team members.

14.01.2022 Did you know that the "Clarke" in Bolton Clarke comes from Lady Janet Clarke - a philanthropist and community leader who was a driving force behind the Melbourne District Nursing Service in 1885? She played a big part in our organisations history and is one powerhouse of a woman to celebrate this #InternationalWomensDay.

12.01.2022 Even though ANZAC Day wasnt quite as it usually is this year, Inverpine retirement village residents made sure to commemorate it in new and creative ways. We share a few photos from our socially distanced street-service. Special thanks goes to our crafty ladies who made the poppies from recycled soft-drink bottles and to the local day care centre who provided some handmade ANZAC lanterns. #ANZACspirit

07.01.2022 Bolton Clarke has a long history of care. From a single nurse walking the streets of Melbourne attending to the poor and sick in their homes, to Kingshome - the very first Queensland War Veterans Home in Taringa, we honour the work two of our organisations early leaders, Sir William Bolton and Lady Janet Clarke started. This #AgedCareEmployeeDay we celebrate their legacy and say #thanksforcaring to the team members that have supported our clients, residents, veterans, the homeless, pregnant mothers and our older population for over 200 years. #ACED2020 #wecaredifferently
