23.01.2022 The Bombala Blue Heelers are saddened to hear about the passing of Andy Hayden from Cooma and would like to pass on their condolences to the Cooma Stallions & Andy’s family and friends. Andy was a big part of the stallions and rugby league in our area and he will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace Andy

18.01.2022 LADIES & GIRLS NINES TACKLE COMPETITION Group 16 are running a ladies and girls nines tackle competition during the 4 weeks of November on a Saturday afternoon. The competition will be played in the following age groups; under 12’s, under 14’s, under 16’s and open ladies. ... 18.01.2022 Bombala 9’s MVP Awards. Our Local 9’s competition produced some fantastic footy of the 6 week competition with 110 Registrations it shows how strong the Rugby League Community is in Bombala. The Club gave out two special awards yesterday and these MVP accolades went to the best & most consistent player in the ladies and men’s comp over the whole competition. ... Ladies League Tag MVP - Annie Green! Annie is a talented young player who really stood out in the open women’s comp, consistently standing out each week and showing some great skill. Well done Annie, very well deserved. Men’s Tackle MVP - Ben Mooney Ben was a clear front runner for this award, scoring a swag of tries for the season and probably setting up more. Ben had another great game in the grandfinal and was very well deserving of the MVP for the Men’s comp. Congrats Annie & Ben

06.01.2022 The BDRLFC is excited for our local 9s competition to start this weekend. Of course in order to run this comp we must all comply with mandatory COVID-19 precautions. We ask please all those attending, including players and volunteers to: Record your attendance. ... There will be a table set up near the canteen where you can sign in manually or you can use the contact-less code option using your smart phone. When not playing- must maintain social distancing rules at all times of 1.5m apart. Ensure you take note of markers indicating safe distances when queuing for the canteen or toilets. Maintain strict hand hygiene practices, sanitising regularly. DO NOT ENTER THE GROUNDS IF: - you are unwell or experiencing any flu-like symptoms. - If you have been to Victoria (outside border restricted areas) or known Covid hotspots in the last 14 days. We encourage you to spread out and utilise the full extent of the grounds to spectate, limiting any possible crowding situations. We thank you for your compliance and cooperation to help keep us safe and therefore allow us to provide this great opportunity to our community.
