24.01.2022 Introducing our 3 year old Kindergarten Teacher, Katie Hi, I’m Katie the 3 year old Kindergarten Teacher at Beachwood. I have a strong passion for children’s learning and have been working in the Early Childhood sector for more than 10 years, and teaching kindergarten for the past 7 years. I strongly believe in building respectful relationships between educators and families as I hold strong values to communities and families and the effect they can have on a child’s l...earning and development. I am committed to my role at Beachwood to provide children with a stimulating, inclusive and inviting program as I realise the importance of maintaining an environment where your child can grow and thrive whilst exploring the world around them. Outside my time at Beachwood, I enjoy time at the gym, challenging myself with weight training . I also love spending time with my partner Craig and family, as well as immersing myself in the outdoors taking photographs of everything around me I am thrilled to be apart of the team at Beachwood and to have the opportunity to work with the community to which I proudly call home. Be sure to check EarlyWorks for details and daily updates of all the literacy fun we share. Come dressed in your favourite book character, favourite outfit or favourite color and join us for some fun. Favourite books from home to share with your friends also welcome!

02.01.2022 Introducing our Co Room Leader of the Pre Kinder Room, Shay Hello, my name is Shay and I am pleased to introduce myself as one of the room leaders of the Pre Kinder room My journey in early childhood education commenced more than 8 years ago when I was on my own search for care and education for my daughter. After this introduction I knew this was the career for me and from here I signed up for and completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. Through the... years I have grown a strong appreciation of the impact a positive learning experience provides in the early years. I believe in creating loving, safe and stimulating environments for each child whilst tailoring each child’s education journey to meet their needs and also embracing their unique personality. I will support each child to achieve their full potential by equipping them with tools to take supported risks, to be resilient, confident individuals and be able to show empathy and understanding toward others. In my spare time I enjoy family time with my daughter and all the adventures we share together.
