23.01.2022 Hey everyone, I present to you this morning’s squad From left to right: Olivia Smythe, Samuel Stead, Liam Muldro, Emily Hughes, Aidan McKeon and last but not least, Bella Trotta. It was great to get on the water, we went through the bridge and into the 1K for the first time (WOW). If you want to come down to learn to row, row for a bit of fun or you want to compete, just message this page and hopefully next time, we’ll see you on that pontoon cya soon!

Degree: Bachelor of Biomedical Science Rowing experience: I rowed for five years at my high school, and in that time medaled multiple times at a state level and competed at Nationals twice. I rowed for Bond in since 191, although non-competitively. A bit about me: I’m a fairly easygoing chap, and I’m always keen to chat... seriously, the hardest thing about knowing me, is getting me to shut up... . I hope to build a rowing club where everyone is welcome and everyone knows each other like family. I can’t wait to see you at the shed!

21.01.2022 Jo will be there tomorrow, I hope I can see as many of you there as possible. If you are hoping to become competitive, it is essential that you be there when Jo is, as she will give you the best possible feedback to assist your development as a rower, as well as give you an indication of whether or not you can begin squad training. In case it is raining, bring closed-in shoes, a towel and your student card, in case Jo decides to take the session into the gym (although be prepared to row in the rain. Degree: Bachelor of Business with a Entrepreneurship and Innovation Major Rowing experience: I started rowing three years ago at my home university in the U.K. I was Women’s Captain in my second year and also competed in the British Universities & Colleges Sport regatta, as well as other races. A bit about me: I started my Bond experience as a Study Abroad student last year and loved it too much to leave I’m currently in the UK waiting for borders to open but will be taking on my role as VP online. Degree: Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance Rowing experience: I have been rowing for 6 years now and was my high schools rowing captain in my senior year. I like both rowing on my own and with a team. For me the best part of rowing is being on the water during sunrise. About me: I love grabbing breakfast with my friends and cleaning up on our weekly poker nights. You’ll always find me either in the gym or with a coffee in my hand. 13.01.2022 Hey everyone!!! We know it’s been a while since there’s been any rowing going on and we know you are all just itching to get back out on the water . The good news is, it won’t be long until we are back out there, we are just awaiting final confirmations about when we can resume. 11.01.2022 Another spectacular morning on the water, with another two newbies!!! Great to see so many people interested in the boat club, for those of you who are interested but aren’t sure of the details, Sunday morning 8:00 and Wednesday morning 5:15 are social/learn to row. Monday mornings (5:15) will be a semi-training session for people hoping to compete, and Thursday’s (beginning tomorrow afternoon, 6:00) will be a quick ergo session to practice some technique and build some strength. I hope to see you all either tomorrow or Sunday!!!

10.01.2022 What a fantastic morning for a row!!! It was good to leave the bond lake and adventure out into lake wonderland for the first time this semester! Also great to have a cox! Can’t wait to see everyone this Thursday at 5:15 am!!!

04.01.2022 CAPSIZE DRILL This TUESDAY 12pm-2pm we’ll be running a capsize drill in the Bond Uni pool! This is to run through the safety procedures of being able to get back into the boat in the unlikely event of going for a dip ... Please meet at the sports centre pool Bring swimmers, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, poolside footwear (ie thongs) and student ID (to gain access to the pool) Will be nice to get to know one another too, see you there! 02.01.2022 BUBC is coming back at you again with another announcement (unfortunately not an update on when we can return... #sad ) BUT!!! This is an official post announcing that executive positions will soon be vacated by some of the current executive members as they move on to bigger and better things (good luck guys!!!). As such, the BUBC is currently looking for a Treasurer, Vice-President, and Secretary. Additionally, other minor executive roles may become available pending deci...sions about the club for the next term of office. Anyone can apply, the term is one year (so until the end of semester 212), AND you can reflect on your involvement for Beyond Bond Points!!!
