22.01.2022 How many of us have lovely bracelets hidden in our bottom drawers or jewellery boxes because of a stretched or broken cord? We can fix them or find you the materials to do it yourself. Look at some of the lovely beauties that are back on the wrist of their owners

22.01.2022 Westside (Brisbane) Helping Hand. Is there a similar group in your community?

20.01.2022 With all that is going on in the world, we are remaining open (while we can) but with some reduced hours. Working on the online store, when not in the bricks and mortar store, so everyone can get their supplies safely while being isolated. Please all take care of yourselves and those around you

19.01.2022 Celebrate Mothers Day and Support Ipswich Hospice Care through their online Mothers Day stand.

19.01.2022 I think we need to build one of these.....

17.01.2022 Just to be in the safe side, the shop will be shut tomorrow (Monday) to see if there is any fall out from the COVID-19 alert in the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre (our neighbours). Just being cautious https://m.facebook.com//a.2083704691965/3509260452440820/

17.01.2022 Are you local to us or can you do this in your community? Do you have a few extra basic staples that can be shared with the older and more vulnerable in your community? Consider dropping them off to a Share Depot.

17.01.2022 On this day 15 years ago, we were headed to the school fete when we realised that Ridley didnt have a beanie. Mum whipped this one up during the afternoon (without a pattern) to keep his little head and ears warm. She even made matching mittens . Think I might need to make some in her honour and publish the pattern

17.01.2022 Almost as good as the LEGO weaving machine https://craftgossip.com/the-knitting-clock-automatically-k/

16.01.2022 See what might happen now that I have mixed up my space engineering degree with the craft store

12.01.2022 Ive been making a few beanies lately but I think I should try some socks. These would be cute with a solid toe and heel and colourful lace. https://youtu.be/L-DdOQfCIYU

04.01.2022 Some days we get some interesting requests at the shop. I have now mastered overlocking the edge of Aida (cross stitching cloth) to stop the edges fraying.

04.01.2022 We will be close for the Virtual Ekka public holiday (Friday 14 August 2020). Off to find some Strawberry Sundaes. https://www.thecommongood.org.au//ekkastrawberrysundaepop/

03.01.2022 We put together this Swarovski pearl necklace and earrings gift set over the weekend

02.01.2022 Crafty friends can you help us please! Im seeing lots of posts on different craft groups about people not knowing where to send quilts. They are saying contact... this group or that group (like the salvos/Red Cross etc). At this time those groups have more pressing things to deal with! We are here in the middle of things. We have the details of local groups who can help us distribute donations AFTER the immediate threats have passed. We dont want well meaning people to take up these organisations resourses! Please get your fingers busy and explain to all your Facebook/social media pages that we are the people who have volunteered to distribute quilts around the NSW South Coast. We need to focus on saving our homes today so if you guys can be our army and share our details that is what we need from you today. Thank you so much!! Big Crafty hugs from Paula and Jo xxx

02.01.2022 This is about some handmade love for people in the coming months. Once all the fires are out, the media are gone, and reality really sets in. This is about a handwritten note with the quilt/blanket letting these people know that someone cares enough to have spent their time making something beautiful for them. I think Grandma would agree

02.01.2022 Just to make you smile....

02.01.2022 Dust off the old slides and go digital

01.01.2022 In July I will get to meet this lovely lady.....but I think she took the theatrical phrase break a leg a bit too literally https://www.cbsnews.com//missouri-star-quilt-company-how-/
