25.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: Last Monday night, League Executive based on the feedback from all CGJFL clubs met and voted in favour of a change to all age groups. Although no...t unanimous there was a very clear majority in support of the decision that follows the lead of the TDJFL, SDJFL and is in line with AFL Victoria proposed changes as part of recommendations in the G25 report. From 2021, the CGJFL will consist of u9s, u11s, u13s, u15s and Youth Girls. This is an exciting step forward for the CGJFL and a change that will hopefully see longevity and sustainability of children in our great game. 24.01.2022 Huge Day today Drilling 4m+ holes, dropping steel cages in and pouring concrete all on a fairly ordinary day. Unbelievable effort from the guys today to get it done! With the new Electronic scoreboard due to arrive soon it’s all systems go for our hard working committee and volunteers

23.01.2022 Under 10s Great news, after yesterday’s state government announcement. Training will be back next Thursday the 25th at 5pm. Here are the rules we will all need to follow.... Thursday Training Info An attendance sheet will be kept of children at training by a covid safety officer Training groups of up to 20 participants plus a Coach Each training group will be allocated a training area, no crossing between training groups is allowed Hand sanitiser will be available for before/ during and after training Minimal equipment will be used and any that is will be sanitised before and after use No training will take place indoors (so if it is raining we will cancel or train in the rain) Physical distancing of 1.5m is required Parents are asked to keep drop off/pick up to a quick schedule and practice social distancing or stay in their cars during training. No high five or hugs (this will be hard for some kids!) No socialising before or after training Bring your own drink bottles and be dressed to go, use of change rooms is not allowed. If kids or a family member feels unwell please don't attend training AFL Gippsland also recommends downloading the COVIDSafe App to assist with contact tracing. 21.01.2022 Hi Everyone Just an update on the 2020 footy and netball season. We had a Zoom meeting tonight with all clubs and the league and basically come up with the decision to wait for the next announcement on restrictions, on June 22nd before making a decision on this season. We understand the frustration on not having a clear direction but it really is a complex situation and hopefully a decision will be made on June 22nd. ... Until then stay safe and take care. 19.01.2022 Scoreboard Update We took a drive up to Strzelecki Engineering last week to have a look at the progress of the scoreboard frame. What an amazing job Carmelo and the boys have done! We were very excited to see it in the flesh. With just the galvanizing and roller door set up left to do, we are very much on target and looking forward to the final installation in the very near future. ... 17.01.2022 The club would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing reserves coach Damian Smith on the last 2 years at the helm. Damo a 1997 senior premiership player at the club brought a new voice and perspective to the group which helped many players develop and play some really good footy. We are now looking to appoint a new reserves coach for 2021 and beyond. We are looking for someone that has a real passion to coach and would work closely with the senior coach in helping develop and prepare players for senior footy aswell as get the best out of the entire group. 07.01.2022 Boolarra Reserves Coach The club is excited to announce the appointment of Travis Mitchell as reserves coach for the 2021 season. Travis has many years of coaching experience at junior levels around Maryborough and Golden Square, more recently he has been Assistant senior coach at Moe and Assistant reserves coach at Trafalgar. ... Travis has his AFL level 2 coaching accreditation and also works with AFL Gippsland Hawthorn next generation academy and is the Gippsland region coach at One on One Football. Travis is keen to get stuck in and start working with the group to play some good footy and hopefully steer us back into the top 5. We would like to welcome Travis, his wife Stacey and son Thomas to Boolarra FNC and wish you all the best. See more

03.01.2022 Big Day at the Rec Reserve today with 100+ metres of data and power cables going in for the new Electronic Scoreboard. A huge thanks to all the volunteers that helped and were involved in organizing today. Next stage is to drill 2 x 4m deep holes for the concrete piers to hold the scoreboard Frame.

03.01.2022 2021 Update As you may have heard by now, last night the MGFNL clubs voted and by majority accepted all 6 Alberton league clubs. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome the new clubs in our now 15 team strong comp and look forward to the new exciting Mid Gippsland FNL competition. ... How the draw will look and other details will be worked on in the coming months by the clubs and league executive. We will let all our members and supporters know as soon as we can regarding all details of the new competition. We will also do our best to come up with the fairest and best draw possible with a focus on travel. For now we would like to thank all involved and appreciate all the work put in to get to this stage.

02.01.2022 2021 Signing The club is happy to announce that Tony Giardina has re committed as senior coach for 2021. Coach Bone is our longest serving senior coach and his hunger, passion and dedication has not waned since day 1. He has already been busy on the recruiting side of things aswell as looking to lock in our current list.
