21.01.2022 Well over 10 years ago I started a patchwork and quilting group. We call ourselves the Boosey Creek Quilters We are planning our first quilt show to be held at the Boosey CFA hall on the 3rd and 4th of November. There will be traders tables as well as tea, coffee, cakes and slices. We have made a quilt for a raffle called Shenandoah Stars. Tickets are available from our group members and Lyn’s Craft Nest in Cobram. So put these dates in your diary and take take a trip to Boosey.

21.01.2022 My hand dyed fabrics are going well. Here are some photos of them drying on the line and one of a quilt top I have made which is ready for applique and quilting. You can find them at Lynn's Craft Nest in Cobram, Catharina's Vintage Stitches in Kyabram and with Fay at In2Quilting in Kilmore. I am looking for further business's who would like to have them available for their customers so if you think they would benefit your local quilt shop please ask them to contact me. They are great as a feature fabric but they are excellent for applique. Michelle

20.01.2022 Last week I spent 5 days at Halls Gap attending a workshop with Lorinda Freeman and Linden Lancaster. The workshop was a mixed media one with UK tutor Sandra Meech. We played with our own photos printed out on to copy paper then transferred onto fabric which we then stitched into by machine and hand. The second photo is a sample of Lorinda’s and my work. The workshop has certainly given me more to think about when I am creating my art quilts. Thank you to Lorinda and Linden for a very enjoyable few days away.

20.01.2022 I handed the Boosey Creek Quilters raffle quilt over to Sarah Duffy today. She was so happy to receive this quilt. Congratulations Sarah.

10.01.2022 I am a frustrated dressmaker at the moment. I have a cupboard full of beautiful fabric to turn into some lovely clothes however I am having problems with fitting my more mature shape. I would love to start a group of ladies who are interested in dressmaking, to help each other with design and fitting and who are interested in learning more about garment construction. A fun group that meets once a month. Message me if you would like to come and play. Here are some fabrics that I am considering at the moment. Michelle.

06.01.2022 Hi All. A couple weekends ago I had my first official class where I was the tutor. Some lovely ladies spent the weekend with me doing my Woven Background & Raw Edge Appliqué class. Everything went very well with some lovely backgrounds and appliqué designs until the power went off on Sunday afternoon. Besides that the ladies all commented on how they had a lovely relaxing weekend learning something new. Here are some photos of the ladies and their projects.

01.01.2022 My yearly pilgrimage to Harrietville with Fay at In2Quilting is in full swing this week with lots of fun, talented fellow Quilters. Managed to finish a project this time that I was working on last year. Am very pleased how it turned out. It was inspired by the One Block Wonder books. Enjoy.
