18.01.2022 Hi Helen, i just found the other photos you posted. Great pics! BTW what seed have you been using? The lorikeets here love sunflower seed.

16.01.2022 Mosaic Bird Feeder Can you mosaic straight onto a wood surface for outdoor use? They say that you can use wood but they prefer you to cover the wood with a concrete backer board (ie blue board or cement sheet) to which you attach the mosaic to. The reason being is that wood is vulnerable to changes in temperature and can warp or crack, thus popping tiles and cracking grout (cement sheet will prevent this).... If you are still interested, i can make you up a custom feeder with the concrete sheeting attached to the wood. What style were you after? This will allow me to give you a quote with the added concrete sheet attached (you can see the styles at my website www.thewoodworkingguy.com.au ) www.thewoodworkingguy.com.au

11.01.2022 Immature Crimson Rosella: A new feathery friend appeared in my garden this weekend. I assumed it was a green rosella (Australia's largest rosella) , but a friend pointed out that is was an 'immature crimson rosella' . I guess it is a good sign that the rosella population is nice and healthy. ... ----------------------------------------------------- Need a custom bird feeder made, please contact me via email, [email protected] or contact us through our website, www.thewoodworkingguy.com.au, or ebay page and we can try and sort it out for you ------------------------------------------------------ www.thewoodworkingguy.com.au See more

09.01.2022 Scaly-breasted Lorikeet (Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus) feeding from a classic bird feeder in my garden. I have only ever seen 2 pairs of these in my garden, and they are alot smaller than the more common rainbow lorikeets. FACTS : - The Scaly-breasted Lorikeet grow to roughly 23 cm and they are emerald-green in colour with a slight tinged of blue and yellow, which gives it a scaly appearance. They can be also known as a green lorikeets or a green and yellow lorikeet.... www.thewoodworkingguy.com.au
