20.01.2022 Today is World Mental Health Day. A day to take time out and do something for yourself. Positive mental health starts with you. Research shows that going for walks, being amongst nature, going on adventures, trying something new, exercising and reaching out to loved ones greatly benefit your mental health. It’s difficult to be there for others if we don’t look after ourselves first :)

15.01.2022 Some of our team are participating in the One Foot Forward Walk for Mental Health. Our goal is to walk 80kms throughout the month of October to raise awareness for those struggling with mental health. More than 5 million people experience symptoms of mental illness in Australia every year. If anyone would like to donate to our team, please click the below link. Funds raises will go to the Black Dog Institute to support research into early detection, prevention and treatment of mental health disorders. https://www.onefootforward.org.au/fun/umgalliedhealthheroes

06.01.2022 This is the smile of a speechie who is about to give a family an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device to trial for the very first time. Heather was thrilled to be a part of this journey for one of our ESA families. October is AAC awareness month and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate. Everyone deserves access to communication. There are multiple forms of AAC that enable people with communication difficulties to be able to engage in the world around them. Thank you to Jess from Liberator for supporting our speech pathologists to customize devices for families to trial :)
