20.01.2022 THANK YOU EVERYONE who came along and supported us outside Coles today. A HUGE thank you to Kyle and the team at Coles, for helping us out with our BBQ supplies. COLES is a great sponsor and supporter of all the centres affiliated with LITTLE ATHLETICS QLD. As you will hear and see in our videos... the winner of the $50 Money Board, was Mrs Barbara Hinitt. Mrs Hinitt has very kindly re-donated her prize back to our Club. We thank her very much for her generosity!! 17.01.2022 Ipswich Twilight Carnival 2020. Border Blues was represented at this carnival by the Trounce family. Thank you Gail for the photos of your children competing on Saturday.
16.01.2022 2020 DOWNS & SOUTH WEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS were held in Toowoomba late February. Seven of our members attended and competed extremely well, coming home with gold, silver & bronze medals, considering the cold, windy and rainy conditions. The children displayed great sportsmanship and encouragement towards our Club members and others.... They all qualified to attend the State Championships to be held in Brisbane later in March, except for our little U8 competitor who is not eligible until next year. Absent from photo are Joshua and Jake Murphy.
16.01.2022 WEEK 3: We had a great afternoon of activities. The members participated in 200m & 100m Sprints, Long Jump and Shot Put. There were some very excited and chuffed kids achieving PB's! That's what we like to see and hear, the athletes achieving and improving against their own times and distances. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE TODAY! WEEK 3: We had a great afternoon of activities. 15.01.2022 We had a great afternoon of Athletics and Fun yesterday! THANK YOU so much to the parents who helped out... it is very much appreciated!! The children went off into their little groups rotating around the three different events of Discus, High Jump and 100m Relays. Loads of fun was had in the relays, as we used the bananas that are donated by Coles and Little Athletics Qld each week. This weekend we have 7 children competing in the Regional Championships at Toowoomba that was... postponed 2 weeks ago. We also have one family heading to Deception Bay to their centre carnival. 13.01.2022 Congratulations to Alana Quade (nee Boyd) who will be inducted into this years Roll of Excellence in the Track & Field Category Alana started her Little Athleti...cs career at the Maroochy Little Athletics Centre as an U13 and continued until the age of U15. As an U13 athlete she was a member of the 1997 Queensland State Team. Alana is a world class pole vaulter having won the national championships in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2015. She was also selected for the 2007 World Championships and 2008 Summer Olympics and was a finalist at 2012 Summer Olympics finishing in 11th place. 12.01.2022 TUESDAY 15th October we will be... Taking Registrations for this season - $100/child. Running a 'come and try' session, so your child can see if they would like to join in, have fun and learn some new sporting skills. And also having a BBQ cooking sausage on bread or chicken kebabs for $2 each, saving you having to cook dinner when you get home. Any questions please call 0428 531 345.

01.01.2022 This afternoon the children had their own taste of the Melbourne Cup. After a few false starts and some re-runs, the 2020 BB Cup winners were decided. BB Filly: Sally T. BB Colt: Riley D. Well done to everyone! Unfortunately, we didn't get to do Long Jump, but that's something to look forward to next week, along with some throwing events!This afternoon the children had their own taste of the Melbourne Cup.
