20.01.2022 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our Winter Festival last night, despite the predicted rain, contributing to the creation of a wonderful atmosphere full of wonder and magic. We look forward to many more festivals together. Seeing our Sophia Waldorf School community grow so beautifully warms our hearts.

18.01.2022 Wherever you are in the world, this talk titled "The adult as a role model worthy of imitation by the young child" by Connie Grawert will provide inspiration fo...r anyone who spends time with young children whether at home, or in a professional role in childcare, kindergarten or other setting. There's still time to register! When: Free on Zoom, Saturday 31st October at 10.00 am. To register visit our News/Events page on our website www.steinerseminar.com As the adults in their lives, we must understand the developmental needs of young children in order to truly meet them. What do we need to develop within ourselves to undertake this great responsibility? These ‘vital years’ from 0-7 need urgent protection from the ever growing pressures of a fast paced modern world, in order that children can unfold in a healthy way. How can we bring insights from Rudolf Steiner Early Childhood education into our lives and work to meet this goal? Connie Grawert will be opening our part-time online course in Rudolf Steiner Early Childhood Education in February 2021 and will provide an overview of each term's content.

We are a growing community of individuals wishing to connect and support the creation of the Sophia Waldorf School on the Gold Coast. 12.01.2022 Dear friends, Sophia Waldorf School is organising family gatherings for our community to come together every month. You are all invited to join us. We will meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month. In August we will be in Schuster Park, Tallebudgera (Burleigh Heads side, access via Heather Street where parking is available). Date: Sunday 16th August. Time: 10am-2pm. Please bring a plate of wholesome food to share for our shared lunch!

11.01.2022 We look forward to seeing some of our beautiful families today and meeting some new faces! This kind of gathering is a great opportunity to ask any questions with regards to Steiner education and to learn more about the beautiful philosophy underpinning it: Anthroposophy. So please do bring any questions or doubts you may have without hesitation. When you arrive at the end Heather Street you can keep driving into the park where there is a small parking lot. You can also park on the street. We will probably be sitting by the little wooden pagoda, unless it has been taken by someone else. Either way we will be easy to spot!

There is a limit to the number of people who can be inside the Pavilion, due to covid restrictions, so this will help us to have an idea of numbers in case we need to find an alternative solution. This outdoor festival gives each of us an opportunity to come together and share this special time. It includes part of the following: A tradition in which families can come together in a personal and meaningful way and strengthening our community and our family values.... An experience of living in harmony with the earth and nature. An opportunity to celebrate the changes in the season and gifts, both through the nature out-of-doors and through foods of the season. A sense of renewal and heightened experience. A way to lift us towards a feeling of what we can become as human beings so that we may learn to care rightly for the earth and each other. - Date: Sunday 12th July. - Time: 4:00pm 6:30pm. - RSVP: Sunday 28th June by emailing [email protected] RSVP is a must for this occasion for catering we require exact numbers of adults/children and if meals are vegan/non-vegan.
