19.01.2022 Border Crown is happening! Details will be available VERY SOON!

11.01.2022 To the members and friends of Bordescros, greetings. It seems to have been a bumpy start to my term as Seneschal, and for my part in that I apologise. I said at the December meeting that I tend to over-explain because I seek to maximise understanding. Unfortunately, sometimes that makes things worse not better. Being human, I also have blind spots where I don’t realise that I haven’t explained something, or I’ve missed something. I will always try to improve, and I ask for yo...Continue reading

10.01.2022 Members and friends of Bordescros, You will all no doubt be aware that the COVID-19 situation has deteriorated again. Latest advice from the Victorian government (responsible for the border closure this time) says that after midnight tonight the border is closed to everyone from NSW. However, it also says border residents can still access the other side of the border by showing a driver's license to prove your address.... Source: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/victorian-border-crossin I assume other legal forms of proof of residence would work too. This means that the only Victorians who could access the Fishing Club and return are those inside the "border bubble". While this need not impact running our monthly events, it will prevent Victorian wayfarers from attending and will require anyone in NSW outside the bubble to attend the next monthly meeting by video conference as I live in Wodonga. As the situation is constantly evolving I believe it's important that we do not react reflexively to every change. We need to wait and see. However the ability to plan is important so I intend to provide advice, based on my understanding of the mundane rules at the time, one week (7 days) before any scheduled in-person activity. This will be emailed and posted on Facebook. This also means that, for now, Autumn Crown preparations should go ahead. Anyone from Victorian who had planned to go to 12th night might need to get their own advice on attending though. If you have any questions or concerns about this plan, please contact me off-list or via messenger. In service, Sorle
