25.01.2022 Looks like our options for 2021 are increasing. Whilst we have been grateful for the Frank Maher Pavilion this year, it is a little neglected and I for one can’t wait to see what this new space will be like when it’s finished!

25.01.2022 What a fabulous first week back. We were so encouraged by so many students returning this week and welcomed some new students to the school as well. Thank you all for adhering to the covid safe rules and supporting us through that as we support our students through it. After a very disjointed term 1 and 2 we are hoping for a very productive term 3. Enjoy your weekend and we look forward to seeing you all at class through the week.

24.01.2022 After our last few classes tonight we will have a 2 week break for the school holidays (cause you know, we haven’t just had 12 weeks off class ). Term 3 will commence on Monday July 20th at the Merimbula Uniting Church Hall with all classes and students returning to their original class times and groups (4pm junior ballet, 5pm junior musical theatre, 6pm junior hip hop, 7pm senior hip hop, 8pm zumba). Tuesday classes will commence July 21 at the Frank Maher Pavill...ion with the 2 studios running again (2.15pm ladies tap, 3.45pm pre jazz, 4.15pm pre ballet and kids tap, 4.45pm girls jazz/hip hop combo, 5.15pm 8-11 yrs jazz, 5.30pm boys jazz/hip hop combo, 6pm teen jazz and junior & senior contemporary, 6.45pm stretch/strength class and adult tap, 7.30pm senior and adult jazz. Thursdays will commence July 23rd also at the Frank Maher Pavillion with 4.30pm sub Junior ballet, 5.30pm senior musical theatre and 6.30pm senior ballet and pointe. Don’t forget you can now download your second active kids voucher and email it to me along with your child’s date of birth to [email protected] We also accept creative kids vouchers. 21.01.2022 We are about to start our final week of dance for term 2 even though it feels like it just began . Monday June 29 we will be at the scout hall with Junior ballet at 4pm (both Monday and Thursday classes), junior musical theatre, junior hip hop, senior hip hop and Zumba. Tuesday June 30 at Lumen with preschool ballet, junior and senior contemporary, boys and under 8’s jazz/hip hop combo classes, kids tap and jazz from 3 years right through to seniors. Thursday July 2 at Lumen with adults jazz and tap followed by senior musical theatre and ballet. We are looking forward to seeing you all this week.

20.01.2022 A big thank you to the Bourn-da-Dance staff who have just finished a 12 session stint teaching dance to the year 10 students at Lumen Christi Catholic College. The first 3 sessions were ballroom thanks to Mrs Little and Miss Hayley and the last 9 sessions were hip hop thanks to Miss Hayley. We hope the Lumen students and Staff loved it as much as Mrs Little and Miss Hayley did. Ballroom of course was interesting with the current no touching rules . Thanks to Mr Thompson from Lumen for another great opportunity to share our love of dance with the students.

Merimbula scout hall (behind the museum, driveway is opposite Merimbula RSL club)...preschool dance & jazz/hip hop & ballet for 5-7 yr olds. Merimbula uniting church hall (bottom of Lakeview ave)... 8-12 years jazz/hip hop, senior jazz/hip hop, senior contemporary & Zumba! Please bring a water bottle. Please bring your shoes (do not wear outside). We can’t wait to see you all.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone. See you all this week at eden high. Parents please DO NOT come onsite. Please drop your dancer to the school gate and stay completely out of the school grounds. One of our team will escort them to and from the gate before and after class. I have processed your ticket orders and will hand them out this week. I apologise for the quality of the printing of the tickets. It was a disaster but one I don’t have time to fix now There are still quite a few families that haven’t ordered tickets so a reminder that they won’t be available at the door. You must pre order and this week at class is your last chance to do so. Thank you. Can’t wait to see all of our students shining on stage next Sunday.

15.01.2022 Dress rehearsal 6 years ago...young Jemima never made it on stage that day as teddy was just too comfortable for her to wake up . This year Jemima will be the busiest dancer at our concert as she is the only student who does all styles (hip hop, ballet, musical theatre, jazz, tap and contemporary). Let’s hope she can stay awake . Ok now that I’ve got your attention.... You need to get your ticket order forms in at class THIS coming week as on Friday ticket sales will cease... whilst numbers are counted to make sure we are sticking to covid rules. If there are any seats left after that they will be made available for purchase. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door on the day so please get your orders in now. Thank you. 15.01.2022 Thank you to all of my beautiful students. I went to get my hair done today (boy did it need some help) and my entire appointment and treatment had already been paid for by all of you! So thank you. I feel very blessed. You are all wonderful. I look forward to seeing you all with your hair and make up done tomorrow too. Full dress rehearsal here we come!!!!!

14.01.2022 Day 2 done. So many new families on day 2 and lots of new little 3 and 4 year olds who were all very brave leaving mummy or daddy at the door. We discovered a little wasp issue outside the hall yesterday so I’d like to assure all Wednesday parents that I’ve checked up on the 2 little boys that got stung and they are doing well and I’ve notified the hall committee and requested it be dealt with immediately. A big thanks to Pippa’s dad who was very brave and dealt with a lot o...f them after class yesterday. He was like a wasp spraying ninja . Today we have senior ballet/pointe and senior musical theatre and we are at The Frank Maher Pavilion Pambula Beach....(turn into the aquatic centre road, head straight, through the gate and follow the dirt track around past the sheds on your right to the Frank Maher Pavilion on your left). All dancers must be registered with us for COVID tracing so please don’t bring a friend, also most classes are booked out. Dancers don’t forget your water bottles. We can’t wait to see you all. If anyone struggled with the total of the 3 seats only and would now like to order more tickets you would be most welcome to. Alternatively for those that were sad they weren’t able to watch the entire show you could now extend your ticket to stay for the whole performance. Parents please stay in your car during class and when you drop off or pick up please do it quickly and remember to social distance from other parents....this is a request from Lumen that must be followed please. Dancers will be required to hand sanitise on arrival and please send your fees in an envelope clearly marked with the dancers name. Today we have preschool jazz and jazz for 8 years thru to adults as well as tap for 8 years thru to adults. Regular Tuesday classes that AREN’T on today include preschool ballet, girls jazz/hip hop combo class, boys jazz/hip hop combo class, contemporary, stretch/strength and senior jazz.

08.01.2022 Someone has been playing with mummy’s phone. It looks like 4 yr old Hope Kate learnt how to record Jazz lessons (with a little tap mixed in) whilst we were all in ISO during term 2. Just found this...even a crash into the barbie bus didn’t stop this little teacher from recording her lesson

Parents please wait at the gate as parents can’t come on site today. 4.30pm 5-9 years ballet 5.30pm senior musical theatre 6.30pm senior ballet I can probably bring a couple of seniors back as far as Merimbula at the end of ballet so let me know if your child needs a lift.

03.01.2022 We had a great second week back at dance....Lots of new students who all fitted in nicely....we hope you all enjoyed your selves. It was a busy week as we also started our 4 week teaching program at Lumen so thanks to Miss Hayley and Mrs Little for teaching the year 10 students some ballroom in preparation for their deb next year. It wasn’t as cold this week but still best to layer clothing for class so that you can remove as you get warmer during your session. Please byo water bottle. Yes it will look different, yes it will be tricky, no we can’t have a finale, no we can’t have presentations but we’re so blessed to be able to perform for our families in a year where everyone has missed out on so much.
