17.01.2022 A little juvenile turtle just come in to care with Bowen’s BSTAR turtle rehab. Did you know that turtles shells heal like other animals wounds? With wound care and cleanliness (and some help from antibiotics and pain relief). The two sides of the shell slowly heal like all other animals wounds. This happens through a process known as ‘secondary intention’, first granulating, epithelization, and then finally calcification (turning hard like bone!) @ Bowen, Queensland

13.01.2022 What a special moment, my oldest son giving ‘Precious’ the loggerhead turtle one final pat as she was released following rehabilitation with Tracy & Tony from BSTAR turtle rescue. Loggerheads are an endangered species, and we don’t often see them in our waters in Bowen so everyone was overjoyed to see her healthy and happy and back to her ocean home.

Mags is a fully vetted, mixed breed, female approx 18 months old. She is of medium size and activity and would be best suited as your one and only. 11.01.2022 Unfortunately we have seen a few parvo cases trickling in this week. We have been lucky enough to avoid having any parvo in our district for some time, but now are starting to see some cases again. Please ensure your pets are up to date with their shots, and don’t take puppies under 18 weeks out into public places until they have received all of their vaccinations from the veterinarian of your choice. Leroy is a Red Cattle X .He loves other dogs and isn't phased by much at all! He's medium active and won't grow into a big dog we feel. Leroy loves a cuddle, gets on with cats and loves kids. 06.01.2022 Christmas trading: an early warning: we will be closed from Monday the 21st of December, until the 4th of January 2021. As always we will be available for after hours emergencies, but please ensure your pets have any vaccinations required for kennels at least two weeks before your holiday is booked to ensure adequate coverage. Please also ensure you have your pets scripts filled so you have adequate medication to cover the break, so you do not have to pay any additional fees to call staff out for dispensary.

He's approx 14 months old and has done so well with basic training Snowy was part of our Community outreach program last year and came in once we had some funds and found him a great foster home!
