23.01.2022 Rhino (m/1.5y) URGENT FOSTER CARE WITH VIEW OF ADOPTION Current location - Ipswich, Qld... Cat lovers unite Everyone meet this handsome chappy aptly named Rhino Rhino has boundless energy and absolutely loves chasing balls, playing soccer is his daily ritual and hes actually very good at it!! He is also a calm boy though and walks well on a lead, but can become overly excited around young kids and isnt quite sure how to behave appropriately around them. Rhino loves cuddles and affection from his human and we want the same for him in his new home. Rhino has a cat friend who he loves, but he can chase them so a dog friendly cat is a must. Rhino is house trained, although has a very sensitive stomach. He is on Blackhawk Fish & Potato at the moment and that is a must. Pretty much when a boy has to go a boy has to go Rhino is a strong energetic boy, he loves other dogs and running circles around them at the beach or park. 23.01.2022 Happy in Foster Care! :-) We need your help! Miss Lilly has had a tough life and she has the scars to show it.... We are trying so hard to help her, but we cannot get her out of the pound without having a foster carer. So far we got only 4 applications for her which unfortunately are not suitable. Lilly is in Sydney - do we have anybody who can help us help Lilly? All we need is a foster carer who will pick up Lilly, allow her to be around like you would your own dog. She will repay you with love. We will get Lilly to the vet and make sure she gets the medical attention she urgently needs (and of course we pay the vet!), but we cannot do it without having a place for her to recover from her surgery. Every day in the pound is a day too many, Lilly is such a sweetheart considering what she endured. She is not comfortable around other dogs at this stage and obviously we cannot test her with cats. We don't know a lot about Mikey, but he is a 7 year old brindle boy who just loves to be around his people. He is not a jumper or digger & currently lives with a another larger female dog, who is a similar age to him who he adores! Please note if you are applying with another dog, a desexed female is a must, as is a meet and greet. He can be a little 'off'ish' with other dogs if they run straight up to him and get in his space.. Mikey is suited to a home with older children, he does not tolerate babies or toddlers well. 19.01.2022 Lewis (m/1.5y) Foster Carer required with view of adoption Current Location - Illawarra/Shoalhaven area NSW... This sweet young pup goes by the name Lewis! He is a massive young lad, who really does not know his own strength. With his long legs and beautiful brown eyes you will fall in love with him at first sight. He truly is a big softy though and absolutely loves being with his people. He grew up with his litter sister, but unfortunately just wants all of the attention to himself. With this information he needs to go to a home by himself, so he doesn't need to share any of the love and attention. Lewis is a very strong boy who needs some leash training and boundaries, he loves his treats, and is good with commands if there are no distractions. A strong leader and ongoing training will be required. He cannot be with a cat *sorry* as the neighbour's cat used to tease the dogs and now Lewis HATES cats. Lewis is an adventurous soul, so can sometimes take himself on walks when not properly exercised. 6 foot colourbond fences are a must to ensure his safety. At this stage we are trying to find a home for Lewis without other pets, he needs to settle and we will re-asses him once he has been surrendered. Possibly down the track another dog can be added, but not at this stage as we will not set him up for failure. 16.01.2022 NSW - Koda (m/3y) Foster carer required with view of adoption Current location - Central Coast, NSW This sweet young man is Koda and he is what you would expect a young, energetic, full of life boxer to be. He is a happy, wiggly boy, but can be really boisterous when meeting new dogs or people and therefore is often misunderstood. He is a family boy and absolutely loves being with his people, if he isn't sitting on your lap he has to be touching you looking for a pat ... Koda is a playful boy, he loves everyone that plays with him.... lizards and low flying birds also gets his interest to play with, which isn't always ideal. He gets daily walks on the beach every morning, after breakfast he's more than happy to totally chill out and recharge for the next couple of hours. Koda may require more training with how he interacts with new dogs, but a strong authoritative person will help with this. Thankfully, Koda absolutely loves his food so this can be used to help with training. Bayley is 4 years 10 months old and is just a joy. Bayley has all those beautiful traits of a Boxer including loyalty and affection that, but her main focus is sourcing out fun.... Bayley has the need to explore and likes to be nice and active outside. Daily walks (if not more) are required to satisfy her energy. If she doesn't she will end up taking herself for her own adventures, so secure fencing is a must. Many people will probably recognise this girl, her photo went around in Facebook quite a lot. Lilly was found as a stray, now she is coming to us. Lovely Lilly has found herself being surrendered as her owners can no longer look after her. She is in need of some serious medical attention, which we will fully cover, so a home with someone that is able to care for her as she recovers is a must. Apart from a massive scar on her back, Lilly has a few lumps and a very fly bitten ear which will need attention, she has done it tough. But this is going to change now! We don't know a lot about Lilly at this stage as she is coming from a shelter, but one thing we do know is that she is super sweet and has lots of love to give. Despite all her conditions she is still a happy and excited girl who just wants to be part of a family. He has an abundace of energy when going to the beach or the park, but it so happy to come home afterwards to steal your spot on the couch and sleep the rest of the day away. Growing up with a labrador, meant Mickey quickly learnt how great food is and is food drive, and has learnt many commands this way. He walks well on a lead, but can get excited when seeing other doggo friends walk past Mickey is suited to a home with older children, he does not tolerate babies or toddlers well. He also thinks chasing cats is a fun game, so to protect your cats at home, he is best suited to a home without them. Mickey's most favourite pasttimes are chasing a ball (even better if being thrown into a pool), relaxing on the couch or just being out and about with his humans. 06.01.2022 In Foster Care <3 Buddy - m/8y Current Location - Brisbane, QLD... Another beautiful Buddy who through no fault of his own needs to be moved urgently latest by the end of this week! Buddy is a gentle soul who loves being part of the family. He may be ok with another submissive female dog for companionship, but at this stage and given the urgency we have no time to test him, so apologies but please do not apply if you have another dog. Buddy loves going for walks!! So much so that he loves to grab his leash and try to take himself at the start . He is good with basic commands & loves children but no toddlers as he may knock them over. 05.01.2022 NSW - Axel (m/3y) needs a new Foster Carer! Current Location: Tamworth (NSW) Due to an accident Axel's current foster carer cannot look after him any longer as she needs surgery soon. For this reason Axel will need a new foster carer - with the view of Adoption! :-)... A bit of information about Axel from his current foster carer: He is a very quiet white male boxer. He does love to play though but not too much as he isn’t very fit yet and and gradually needs to build up his stamina. Axel loves his food and if he isn’t too anxious responds very well to treat training, he walks well on a lead doesn’t pull and just hangs out next to you, but he does spook easily and can show his protective side. He will need ongoing training for his walks. He also does get very excited and jumpy when it's food time and play time. We have been working with him on this because he can nip when he is playing. I wouldn’t suggest kids under 10, just to be on the safe side... Axel loves being inside and tries to get in at every chance, he shows keen interest in the cats but not in a good way so no cats. I do believe he will be easy to train inside. As I haven’t been able to since seriously hurting my back . He is beautiful and gentle. I do think an older female would be a good companion but not a young one as he doesn’t have the energy for them. Axel also needs some help with housetraining, but that should not be hard.
