22.01.2022 IGNITION SYSTEM PROGRESS We have pretty much arrived at the design and architecture of our new ignition system now. Over the past months, Ive spent a lot of time looking at every kind of ignition improvement system on the market from anywhere in the world (and there are lots and lots). There are plenty that use electronics in the spark generation and control process but still rely on spinning weights and springs for advancing the ignition timing....Continue reading
22.01.2022 Some days ya just gotta whinge... But eventually, I realise that once the prep is right the job of rebuilding with new becomes easy.... Its getting through the clean up that needs patience.... Acres of patience :)

21.01.2022 So when youre building a gearbox one of the things you have to do is look at all the cogs to search for damaged case hardening, bits of metal out of gears, worn sliders and so forth. One of the traps is the input helical gear and the cush drive that it forms part of. The Cog in this particular case looks fine the teeth are in good shape but the rest drive is absolutely knackered. Unfortunately generally, you cant tell this by looking at it assembled you have to take it apart and that is a mission.
21.01.2022 An engine rebuild isn't just rings bearings and gaskets... These rockers were pitted on the tips, so radius ground, new shafts and needle roller bearings all round, top and bottom faces De burred and linished... The special press tool I use for fitting the bearings was made for me by a friend.... Makes the job a doddle. Oh! And new light weight tappet adjusters fitted.
21.01.2022 This ignition testing caper is a tough job but some ones got to do it. Ive now done about 6,000 klm testing the control modules in many forms...to get to this point. BTW the eggs were tiny thats why there were three ;)...AND....that was one delicious breakfast
20.01.2022 I have a friend named Nuccio, he bought an R100S Exclusive sports from Bernie Shailer's estate. It has covered a genuine 20,000 odd klm and he has decided to sell it. It was an import from a Japanese Museum (I remember Bernie and Catherine coming to visit me in Bowen Street when they came to Brisbane to collect it from the customs bond store.) Nuccio wants $15000.00 for it is not negotiable Here is a link to a heap of pix Have a look and contact me if you are genuinely inte...rested. I'll put you in touch. I have no financial interest in this sale. https://photos.app.goo.gl/PWvDksRhVw1F7rKWA

16.01.2022 Part 2 the things you need to do to fit a Helicoil to the drive shaft area of your final drive
15.01.2022 Spent a fantastic day riding a fixed loop around Malaney / Conondale / postmans track testing a prototype ignition system that we and a few expert friends have been toying with for a year or so.. Final version... Now in hand.... Time for some other scientific tests and then some beta pre production set-ups for more intense tests for reliability etc... Plan IS (if it all works out) to use AAA spec components from Europe, US and Italy and make in AUSTRALIA.

12.01.2022 Don't normally do this...BUT a family member has found himself in a bit of a spot ending one lease on a dwelling south side (due to being to small for him and his family) and having a much tougher job than he thought securing a bigger place in greater Brisbane north side. He is looking for temp accommodation for him and his family including 1 teenage girl and 1 toddler.. for say 6 weeks to 2 months. Can pay up to $380 per week , has a job, rent guaranteed by us. ... Just a long shot but if anybody knows of something that will help him out, I would appreciate a PM

11.01.2022 The father, the son and the holy........WTF.
11.01.2022 Time for a bit of an explanation. Ive been playing with this idea for about 18 months or so... really got going about 12 months ago following a dyno session with my bike "Kenny". I wanted to "build a better mouse trap" . AS with a number of other developers, we decided to use the exciting Airhead wiring and basic placement design for simplicity and ease of fitting (plus reversibility if required). We began with a group of people including an extremely qualified specialist e...Continue reading
10.01.2022 Bubble, bubble toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble
10.01.2022 Next project. Pauls GSPD has 180 or 280k on it and is starting to burn some oil. Big trip planned so its time for the full Seibenrock treatment, some headwork, plus a lazy fith gear and gearbox refresh. Decided to put it on the Dyno before and after so we can get some actual results rather than so and so reckons......the bloke running the Dyno is 5 years younger than the bike. I think we made an impression. Will keep you posted.

09.01.2022 Not the best pic, but for those who have issues with wind buffeting from the lip on the RS screen.....Following the advice of the legendary L.J.K Setright at the time of the first official road test of the first RS model released....I cut the lip off....it's just fine now (about 17 years later :)

08.01.2022 What you should know about rocker refurbishment
07.01.2022 Some customers dont pay their bills, most customers pay their bills, a few customers pay their bills then bring home brew beer, mixed nuts, corn chips, dip and enlightened air head talk, big shout to Lyndsay for raising the bar. What a craic, ps, the larger was better than the stout.
06.01.2022 Premium mineral oils.... And why I use them over better synthetics... Just one extra change a year (if you ride a lot) and youre still in front cost wise.

05.01.2022 440,000 klm now, been off the road for 6 or 8 weeks... I got to spend a a bit of time on poor old Kenny... New front brake rotor, braided line line, pads, overhauled Calipers... Replaced the LED headlight, had to take most everything off the front to do this... Time to freshen up the front guard, instrument binnacle roo bar and bra, Alpine white no problem, Marrakesh red is being colour matched should be ready to collect for when the sun comes out. He'll be ready to go for a 4 day fang about and so am I :)

05.01.2022 Great weekend trialling the protype ignition in both bikes... We are rely pleased with it every way... Because the processors are more powerful the timing advance points are continuously managed by a piece of software. We are trialling a coil charging time that promotes a stronger spark at start cranking speed was near frost on the creek bank at Eidsvold... Both bikes started first compression... Pauls is tired... Getting a new balanced motor with flowed heads and a Siebenrock kit when we get back... Mine has new motor 5k ago with the trip Les and I did 4 weekends ago we will have put 3000 klm worth of testing and fine tuning in by the time we get home... Dyno next then 15 or so beta test modules on the road.

02.01.2022 WE take some real pride in what we do here...we treat every bike as if it is our own...we offer a 12 month warranty, after sales service is built into the cost... we are a bit slow just now because of parts availability or transport ... but if you want fast.... we aren't the right choice. We charge $AUD 95.00 plus GST per hour..not $125 like a lot of others....even if they disclose their hourly rate...this gives us time to work through things, fix things, seek less expensive outcomes for our customers... We provide photographic commentary through Google folders (that our customers have access to) on everything we do....Our customers are welcome to come visit, eyeball and discuss their bike and what it needs and what they can afford.. This simple video explains and shows it all it all Stay well and ride safely
