Some of you may know that our Rep Tonys (LAKES ENTRANCE AREA) wife Wanda suffers from a muscle disease, its called Mitochondrial disease, It is an inherited chronic illness that can be present at birth or develop later in life. It causes debilitating physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities with symptoms including poor growth; loss of muscle coordination; muscle weakness and pain; seizures; vision and/or hearing loss; gastrointestinal issue...s; learning disabilities; and organ failure. About 1 in 2,000 people has Mito. Its progressive and there is no cure. On Sunday September 6th in Melbourne is an event to raise money to find a cure for this disease, the event is called the bloody long walk, which is a 35k walk from Victoria park to Brighton beach. I have entered a team for this event, run forrest run, and we are going to push Wanda in her wheelchair all the way.
