20.01.2022 The Secretary, Committee and Members of Boxing Victoria are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Beau Cutting, the father of Boxing Victoria President David Cutting. Deepest sympathy and condolences are extended to Dave and his family.

17.01.2022 The President and Committee of Boxing Victoria are saddened by the passing of Pasquale Curio who boxed with us in the 1950’s. Sincere condolences to his family.

17.01.2022 With the opening of gyms imminent in Victoria, BVI has developed a COVID (Return to Play) Safe Plan. In order to ensure the safety of all attendees, the Victorian Government will expect all gyms to have such a plan. Therefore, BVI have developed this plan to assist gym owners/coaches with their Individual plans. This plan Is posted on the BVI website. 03.01.2022 Further to the information posted yesterday regarding work permits for high performance athletes. As per the criteria, coaches and boxers who are eligible and wish to apply for these permits through BVI will need to have current registration. Registration is on line and the system has been adjusted to allow for registration until 30 September 2020 at a cost of $10.

02.01.2022 The Committee of Boxing Victoria, with sadness, advises of the passing of John Hare. John was a former Secretary of Boxing Victoria, and later an administrator in Victorian Professional Boxing. John made a positive contribution to both amateur and professional boxing during the 1960s and 1970s. And boxing owes him a great debt. The whole Victorian Boxing Community send their condolences to his wife and family, may he rest in peace.
