23.01.2022 Boydy's hours are Mon - Fri 9-2. Sunday 10-2.

22.01.2022 Today we remember those who fought for our country and we can thank them for the freedom we now have. I remember them every day, not just on Anzac day. .I took a photo of the most beautiful sunset in the background and the soldier on the memorial in Murtoa and remembering the words of the poet Robert Laurence Binyon, "At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. I remember them many times a day as I look at this photo. If I had one wish that could be granted it would be World Peace so no-one has to grieve for a loved one and that we can live together in harmony. Lest We Forget.

21.01.2022 Boydy's Rupanyup has closed temporarily due to flooding recently.

19.01.2022 Looking forward to the Vespa Club coming on Saturday 30th March at 1.00 p.m. If you would like to meet the people from the Vespa Club, you will be made very welcome.

19.01.2022 Rupanyup not only has a silo and is part of the Silo Art Trail but we also have the Rupanyup Heritage Trail and now we have three absolutely amazing wood carvings, 2 eagles and a goanna. The artist used a chainsaw to carve the eagles and the goanna. We can now boast of the Woodcarving Trail. Head to Rupanyup and see our amazing town.

17.01.2022 Well the elections are over and we may have some stability in government now. In a small business or in any business for that matter, in the climate we now live in, one of the top priorities is safety. Safety for employers, their staff. and customers. It is also important that our elected politicians can move around in safety and for their staff members to be safe as well. In many countries, politicians are in danger a lot of the time and walking around freely like our po...liticians do, is impossible. Politicians being egged, abused and having suspicious parcels sent to them and being threatened is not acceptable. I have had the privilege of having politicians, both Local, State and Federal sitting with me and having a coffee or meeting them at official functions. For politicians just to walk into a cafe and sit down with someone they know without fear of being threatened, abused and egged is great. No matter what political party you vote for, everyone needs to be and feel safe in their occupations. See more

16.01.2022 I know a couple who do it all the time. Wonder who they are????????

15.01.2022 It is hard not to feel for the people affected in the Bunyip fires. People fleeing their homes and not knowing what awaits them when they return. My cousin was in that situation and when she returned to her home all her boundary fences had gone, her tool shed and hay sheds to put it into her words, "they were melted". I haven't been updated since yesterday, but the concerns now are the wind and the fact there are still fires burning. Knowing my cousin, she will be gratefu...l for whatever is left but her heart will be with her neighbours whose houses were burnt to the ground and no doubt she will be offering to help them in whatever way she can. As a business owner who has been affected by floods, I feel for the business owners who lost their businesses or whose businesses were damaged. Years of hard work gone in a flash. Same for the home owners who have worked hard to buy their homes. See more

14.01.2022 Coming shortly are more plaques telling the history of some of the buildings in Rupanyup. A great reminder of how the town has changed. Helen, one of the members of the Rupanyup Historical Society, has done an amazing job with the plaques. Travellers will be able to read about the town. We now have an Historical Plaque Trail as well as being the first stop in the Silo Art Trail for visitors from Melbourne.

10.01.2022 Driving today was a wonderful experience. There were yellow fields of canola in full bloom with trees of many shades of green in the background lining some of the borders of the fields. As far as the eye could see was a sea of yellow. I have never tired of seeing the fields in full bloom. Different fields were a lush green and the crops were thick and the fields looked like green velvet carpets. I have Geraldton Wax bushes and every year they have lovely little pink flow...ers. I look forward to the bushes flowering but the best part of it is the tiny little flying insects that look like miniature bees hovering over the flowers and then landing on the flowers to have a feed. There are hundreds of these miniature bees and it is delightful to see so many of them. Now is the time for everyone to come to the Wimmera/Mallee to experience the beauty of nature at work and to enjoy the Silo Art Trail, Woodcarving Trail, Rupanyup Heritage Trail, Woods Museum, one of the largest teapot displays in the Wimmera/Mallee, Murtoa Watertower Museum and the Stick Shed located in Murtoa. 09.01.2022 What a beautiful woman. Sad to think children are having children and not being educated. How lucky we are in Australia.
