25.01.2022 There is value in scrap, one of our members used some old fridge shelving to make a plant stand. This sort of upcycling reduces our waste footprint. Good work Ron

23.01.2022 Our Mens Shed guys out today and again tomorrow for first time in a while with the BBQ cooking up steak sandwiches and sausages for the #Centralcoastcarclub at Benaraby raceway.

21.01.2022 The shedders are back for first official meeting and a good example of coping with the Covid restrictions by holding the meeting outdoors, a chance to thaw out also on a cold Winters morning. Good to see our old mate Max back also after his little break all he wants to know is when is the next sausage sizzle? Als banana patch is looking a treat too

21.01.2022 A bit going on down at the shed this morning concreting although mostly it was supervision from the gallery that I observed and plenty of advice being handed out. Also later the tree loppers arrived to remove some problem timber. Quite a few hollow logs now for Jodi Jones to use as nest boxes and a native bee hive which unfortunately suffered damage from the fall. Did a hive rescue but not sure it will survive. At least I did manage to salvage some of the honey.

20.01.2022 Went down to shed this morning only to learn that our good mate and tireless worker Bruce Williams suffered a serious illness last week. We wish you a speedy recovery Bruce and hope you a back here soon for several reasons. Firstly Al will wear out the Bobcat tending his garden and secondly and Bunnings sausage sizzles are starting up again

18.01.2022 Finally we get to resume business at the Shed albeit subject to Covid restrictions to minimise the risk of transfer of the virus. Good to see members this morning after almost 3 months of isolation. A meeting of members is set aside for next Tuesday the inform all of the restrictions and requirements

14.01.2022 Busy morning down at the shed with several willing helpers doing some revegetation work. With the assistance of Gardner Al on the bobcat digging some of the holes, we planted approximately 60 native species including several wattles for national wattle day tomorrow

13.01.2022 Bit of activity going on down at the shed this morning ans so good to see our good mate and treasurer Bruce back on deck after his brief stay in hospital. Take it easy Bruce, we need you. Good to see Luke back also and putting his hand up for some work. Starting to look like we are running out of room for building sheds so now maybe we can get onto some project?

13.01.2022 A busy morning in the vegi patch yesterday trying to make it vermin proof to the point where it is now referred Alcatraz. As a result we now have "Al from Alcatraz" and his fellow inmate "Ivan the Terrible" Good work guys it's looking very "Nifty" in there.

07.01.2022 RIP Jack Byron It is with much sadness and heavy heart that I have to report that our good mate and fellow volunteer Jack Byron passed away yesterday as a recen...t resident of Bindaree Lodge at the age of 95 years. I feel honored to have known Jack enjoyed his company whether it be volunteering at Friends of Bindaree Garage sales, attending the #BoyneTannumMensShed, sharing a drink and chat at the #BoyneTannumRSL or volunteering at Meals on Wheels. Jack continued to support our local organisations as a volunteer right up to his recent fall and hospitalisation despite his 95 years, he will be sadly missed by so many who's hearts he touched. On behalf of those organisations and myself personally, I would like to take this opportunity to offer our heart felt condolences to Jack's surviving family members and know that we are here if you need any assistance. 01.01.2022 We are planning to reopen the shed for regular meetings and activities Tuesday 16th June. Prior to this a small group of selected members will conducting a cleansing and sanitizing of the facility on Friday 12th to ensure it is ready for reopening on the 16th. In order for us to reopen we must comply with all the relevant legislation relating to Covid 19 and our Management Committee are required to put in place an operational procedure to ensure the Health & Safety of our m...embers. This will be communicated to everyone upon return. In the interest of health and fellowship, we look forward to once again providing a safe venue for everyone to meet and participate as they desire. For those who have not had the opportunity to visit the shed since end of March, you will notice some pleasing improvements particularly around the bottom shed.
