24.01.2022 Another gorgeous day for some final brand deliveries! If you havent guessed already, these are bottles of Champagne, gifted to them as a reminder to celebrate the wins along the way! Its a long road being self employed, we are our own worst critics and never seem to be where we think we should be. So heres that yearly reminder to just take a minute, cut yourself a break and appreciate all that you have achieved already!

24.01.2022 Now, I have lost count of how many businesses I have worked with and spoken to who DO NOT have a versatile Visual Identity. In today's world of marketing, there are so so many mediums we can promote our brand with. But, if we do not have the appropriate tools, i.e logo formats, colour codes etc, how can we retain the consistency and integrity of our brand? Here are the main Visual Identity ... 1. Orientation - Logos that only appear in 1 orientation either landscape or portrait 2. No print/vector logo files - The collection only consists of images, jpg or png 3. Have no idea what the colour breakdowns/codes are for their brand 4. Are not sure what their fonts are or how they should be used The image featured here is 1 of 3 logotypes that we developed for the pett'd brand, because just the landscape wordmark on it's own, won't cover nor fit in all the marketing mediums they will use throughout their brand.

Packaging is about targeting the feelings, making the receiver feel proud, unique, exclusive etc. Your packaging should always be a direct reflection of your brand's values and commitments. Do not cheap out at the end! Follow the experience through to the end.
22.01.2022 I believe in understanding the best direction for a new brand; it first starts with understanding the people behind it. I create based off of intuition and being able to communicate what my clients struggle to. This is the goal, and this is what I achieve every time.

The wrong message is often the right message for when we started our business, but we have failed to re-adjust our message for where our business currently stands within the market. Too often we as business owners neglect our brand simply because we understand a brand to be a one-time event. Th...at thing we tick off the start-up checklist. Now that we are a few years into the business, we wonder why things just aren't working, why we are feeling disconnected and why we seem to be attracting the wrong people! Changes don't just happen within a 'Re-Brand' process. If they are carried out carefully and gradually over the course of your business, you will then be creating a brand asset, a brand that your audience can connect with and follow on your journey.

17.01.2022 Keep your car decals legible and straightforward. Think about where your car will be parked during the day and how people would read your information. I like to treat vehicles as another great Brand Awareness tool, not trying to overwhelm people with information but to rather be bold and clear with what we have and be repetitive about it.
16.01.2022 #Throwback to talking about showing the value. We need to start thinking of our businesses as a brand. A brand that creates that ultimate perception about us and what we do. When we start to think of ourselves as a 'BRAND' and not just a business, we can expand our thinking and understand that every part of what we do needs to communicate our quality, values, vision, purpose etc etc...... When it comes to 'showing the value' this is something that needs to be well communicated across your entire brand and not just one part of your brand. 16.01.2022 When it comes to selecting images to use throughout your brand, you can never go wrong with colour association. Big brands like Commonwealth and Woolworths do this very well. Be careful to not over do it! Subtle natural placements do the trick.

14.01.2022 When you have a brand that holds a rich history, it is so important to find new ways to bring this history into the modern-day, sharing key elements of a brands story with everyone to enjoy. Working with Club Coops, we decided to showcase where their story all began by creating an illustration of one of the Co-Founders, Ashley Cooper. This illustration then transformed into a feature wall which now sits pride and place within the club.

When working with a Visual Identity that has history and a strong identity within the community, care needs to be taken when making any adjustments and changes. If we were to change the Visual Identity for a brand like Tobin completely, this could work in reverse and cause more damage than improvement. ... Here are the first two questions I ask before undertaking a brand with history: 1. What is the purpose of the re-brand? Why did we come to this decision and what are we looking to achieve? 2.
