14.01.2022 *HOT TIP* A combination of holidays and cloudy days have caught out too many of our patients lately. Remember you cant feel those damaging UV Rays. When the sun is up over the horizon, no matter if it is hidden behind clouds or cooled by a sea breeze, get that sunscreen on early and cover up with a hat, long sleeves and a rashie if swimming .

11.01.2022 Slip slop slap and other sun awareness campaigns are working! Latest figures show for the first time, there was a decrease in skin cancers in the under 45 year old age group.

09.01.2022 Summer's coming to end end, but that doesn't mean it's time to stop applying sunscreen... So what's the best sunscreen to use? - Firstly it should have a high SBF preferably 50+. - Secondly it should be broad spectrum, covering both UVA and UVB.... - Thirdly it should be as waterproof as you need, depending on what you are doing... swimming, sweating or just every day use. - Finally, it should feel good on your skin. Find a sunscreen you like to use! And remember, give the sun screen a chance to dry on your skin by applying it at least 30mins before going outside.
