25.01.2022 After receiving advice from Swimming NSW and consulting other local swimming clubs we have made the decision to cancel our last two Friday night swim club events. This decision has not been taken lightly, it is not how we wanted to end our season, but the health, safety and wellbeing of club members is our priority. Please note, the Merriwa Intertown that was scheduled for this Saturday has also been cancelled.... Swimming training will continue for this week only, with Friday 20th March the last training session for this season. We ask that you follow the advice from the Australian Government Department of Health regarding self isolation. If you or your child are unwell or are vulnerable to serious illness please do not attend training. On a positive note, we are continuing to plan our presentation event and will confirm details once we receive the all clear to host community events. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to a less eventful season next year. Kind Regards, Greg Hughes President

24.01.2022 Thanks to all who have already put their name down to volunteer at Championships next weekend. There are still a lot of positions available. Please find the roster in the clubhouse this Tues/Wed/Fri to add your name or comment below and we will add you on your preferred position. With 42+ helpers needed for the 100 kids in our club it should be easy to fill this roster! A list is for 2pm-3pm, B list is for 3pm-4pm (times approximate).

They are fully lined and great to wear straight over your swimmers. In the current COVID climate, we have been busy behind the scenes and are excited to announce our Virtual Presentation. Sunday 13 September 2020 At 11 am ... Please keep an eye on your emails for a Zoom Link for this event. If you do not receive the log in details by Friday 11th please message the club. All club children will be acknowledged for their participation, and collection of certificates and prizes will be from Branxton Golf Club in the following allocated time slots.... 1-2pm - 11 years and above 2-3pm - 9 and 10 year olds 3-4pm - 5, 6, 7 & 8 year olds. Thank you for adhering to the above. Families with multiple children are requested to collect all childrens prizes in the time slot of their eldest child. Training assessment sessions are this week: * Tuesday 13th October, anytime between 3:30-5:00pm (2019/2020 members only) * Wednesday 14th October, anytime between 3:30-5:00pm... * Thursday 15th October, anytime between 3:30-5:00pm Training will commence next week, from 19th October, 2020. BGASC's COVID-Safe principles will be in place and are displayed on the clubhouse window. Do not attend the assessment sessions if you or your child are unwell. Please ensure you practice good hand hygiene and social distancing of at least 1.5m. A reminder that the pool's grandstand capacity has been limited to 5 people. We strongly encourage you to bring your own seating or picnic rug. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.

17.01.2022 Exciting BGASC News: Our first club night will be next Friday, 16th October 2020! Pool will open for swim club members at 6pm. Please note social distancing measures will be in place and seating is limited, we recommend you bring chairs or a picnic rug for your family. When entering the pool you will be required to sign in using the CCC’s QR code or by downloading the 1breadcrumb App. Club swimwear will be available to purchase for $35 each. The swimwear have been subsidised ...by the club. Please direct deposit the funds to the club or bring cash in an envelope and collect your swimwear on the night. We are also excited to announce that we have managed to secure training for our members! However, please note that due to COVID restrictions and reduced pool hours, availability for training is limited. We will be asking for expressions of interest very soon and spaces will be allocated in a predetermined fair manner. If you are only after training, please DO NOT pay your swim club membership until your training positions are confirmed, as any funds payable through Swim Central are not refundable. We are looking forward to seeing our existing and new members on Friday night!

For MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS, Visit swimcentral.swimming.org.au from next Thursday. Active Kids Vouchers can be used and will need to entered directly into Swim Central during the registration process. Previous members are already in Swim Central. Please do not create a new member profile. In light of current economic conditions and to help our members during this time, the club have decreased our membership fees for 2020/2021: 8yrs and Under - $115 9yrs and Up- $125 Adult Swimmer - $90 Second Claim - $50 All memberships will include a complimentary BGASC swimming cap. The Club Membership Fee includes Club Nights full of racing and family fun on Friday evenings, opportunity to enter official competitions and Intertowns. You must be a Club member to access training. Training details are still being confirmed with further information to follow soon. We are thanking you for your patience during this process as we work with new restrictions and pool opening hours. 13.01.2022 We are taking expressions of interest for training for the 2020/2021 season. Price for training is $160 per child. Due to current economic conditions, the scheduled price increase has been postponed until 2021/2022. BGASC membership is required to access training (please do not pay your membership through Swim Central until your training spot is confirmed).... Training times will be 3:20pm, 3:50pm and 4:20pm. Unfortunately due to reduced pool hours we are unable to offer any later sessions this year. To express your interest please follow the below link to our website and complete one form for each child. Expressions will close 5pm Sunday and training spots will be allocated early next week. Payment in full will be required prior to your child’s first lesson.
