18.01.2022 REGIONAL TRAVEL BANS ANNOUNCED Premier Mark McGowan has announced that WA Police will enforce regional travel bans from midnight on Tuesday. There will be... exemptions, including essential work purposes and compassionate grounds. More detail will be provided on the exemptions in the coming days. Anyone caught breaching the ban faces fines of up to $50,000. "Do not travel around WA. Easter holiday plans cannot proceed. Stay within your region to protect yourselves and your fellow West Australians, particularly our older citizens," Mr McGowan said. The regional boundaries will mirror those set by the Regional Development Commission.
