24.01.2022 Another powerful mama breathing into her instinctive birthing & trusting in her innate ability #hypnobirthinginternational #birthwithoutfear #Repost @pure_nurtu...re The mind-body connection is powerful, especially during birth. Your body believes everything your mind tells it. What have you been telling yourself about birth? Notice your thoughts. If they dont support you, gently change them. Turn them into an affirmation. For example, if you think, I cant do it. Change it to, I can do it. Make a game out if it and see how many times you can turn a limiting or negative thought into a supportive or affirmative thought. 19.01.2022 Such sad news... and just weeks away from the 30th year anniversary of HypnoBirthing-The Mongan Method, thankfully the work Marie has done will be shared for generations to come and shape more births for the better through her legacy x

18.01.2022 When the cord is still pulsating the baby is getting beautiful nutrient rich oxygenated blood from the placenta, resuscitation done alongside mother (where possible with cord intact) then delayed cord clamping improve outcomes. Isnt the placenta such an amazing organ!

18.01.2022 Writing your birth story before it happens.... -Allows you to plan your desires in labour/birth -Helps to manifest positive expectations and therefore outcomes -Helps cultivate a birth plan... -Creates a list of questions for care providers on what you would prefer and if they accommodate those preferences -Allows your body and mind to relax and understand the journey ahead - Writing your expectations down can also reveal any fears or limiting thoughts you have and allows you to discuss these with your birth partner and care providers - Allows your birthing companion to understand how you would like things to play out and have open dialogue on what they would also love to experience So many benefits on imagining birth and labour playing out...

17.01.2022 So I follow Ten Moons a) to refer parents that may choose a home birth and b) because IF I have another baby, a home birth is all I want... when I saw this post all I felt was pure wonderment, what an amazing experience and gift this beautiful mother has received, and my husband agreed. Shouldnt that be all this is, happiness for a new Mother and family that has been gifted with not one... but two healthy babies! It has turned into an absolute shitstorm (out of fear and misc...onception) for this service and what they offer birthing families... if parents choice is to not engage in the mainstream healthcare model. If the healthcare system provided access for ALL birthing parents to an unbiased approach to childbirth encouraging/trusting instinctual birth less women would be seeking alternative childbirth options (not that these are negative in any way) The midwives who have been suspended (pending investigation) for attending this AH-MAZ-ING moment are simply offering families assisted home birth in a safe environment, which they are doing because WOMENS CHOICES IN PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH MATTER! The demand for independent midwives is high because many women feel unheard and unenthusiastic about the current model of care. Regardless of how we choose to birth our babies, Parents should be met with no resistance (when there is no medical indication of risks) and feel empowered, encouraged and supported to make the decisions that suit them and their baby. There are many changes to the current model of care for pregnancy and birth that need to take place, the positive in this topic is that this opens the discussion up and will hopefully evoke change where its needed. Congratulations to this beautiful mum who now has her hands full and her heart even fuller See more

17.01.2022 How can I care for my body after labour? Many women give birth and then just 'get on with it', but your body has accomplished something pretty spectacular, and ...just like an elite athlete after a marathon, your body is going to thank you if you look after it! Women's Health Physiotherapist, Emily Shiel shares how physiotherapy can assist in treating discomforts after birth and help your road to optimum health.

17.01.2022 Keeping the intimacy and privacy in the birthing room is crucial to many birthing women, having an audience is not conducive to a relaxed atmosphere...

10.01.2022 Feedback like this makes my heart sing I had the most incredible and positive birth experience. I felt totally in control and had the birth I wanted. Which among my friends seems to be a bit of a rarity these days. Even the midwives on the ward were surprised by me!

10.01.2022 As a September baby mum... sorry There was no room in the hospital to stay the day Aubrey was born, I felt so good after my HypnoBirth so... (after a few cups of jelly and possibly pinching a few cloths) I went home jokingly stating that I wouldnt sleep in the supplies room thinking for his first birthday I might post his birth story

06.01.2022 Aubreys Birth Story Starting this at the beginning of it all, Corbens birth was less than ideal, I went in blind assuming that I would be able to have a baby just like every other mother does I left the hospital feeling like my power was stripped away from me and that my birth happened to me, I felt defeated and shell shocked about how he came to be. A lot of people say a healthy mother and baby is all that matters, physically we were both ok, but mentally and emotionally...Continue reading
