25.01.2022 Managed to get some nice photos of the sculptures at sunset the other night. The exhibition is open all weekend - perfect time to check them out with the cooler weather.

10.01.2022 Here’s a look at the drawing of the piece I was working on for the Sculpture Exhibition , until an unfortunate hiccup with a supplier scuppered my plans to exhibit . This is the concept for Warrior . I will be continuing to make this piece and will unveil it in a month or two . Warrior is a tribute to all of those who give , or have given , to fight in the theatre of war and who do not come back whole as they once were . Fighting for the cause in which they believed , ...and have sacrificed a part of themselves whether in mind , body and soul. The outer red polished granite is symbolic of physical and mental scars ,and the polished steel on the inside represents the pure inner soul. Although they Might be damaged In some way , they are still good people . Some have feelings of emptiness , anxiety and depression in returning to civilian life .Some have problems with homelessness, alcohol and drug addiction , suffer PTSD. The hollowness of the sculpture is representative of their emptiness . The wind passes through the sculpture like the emptiness passes through their fractured minds and souls . When the sun goes down , the light refracts and reflects off the mirrored steel ,Illuminating and symbolising the goodness within that still remains . Sometimes hidden beneath a life of anguish , silent suffering and pain. We should never forget. We dont know them all , but we owe them all See more

It represents the lineage, genetic blood lines and choices of our ancestors that culminate to produce each amazingly unique individual ( represented by the seed). Like a sycamore seed that releases from a tree, it’s descent to the ground can be influences by many factors which will determine its landing place and future. 01.01.2022 Well, it was a hot sweaty day installing the sculptures yesterday, but they are all now there and ready for viewing from 23rd January onwards. There are some amazing pieces at Brighton this year and I would encourage you to take a trip and enjoy the art and the sunshine
