16.01.2022 For those who missed the 4:30pm and/ or 6:30pm service, David Nilsson shared his testimony of faith. He is one of our BridgeyMen and an Australian retired professional baseball player who played as catcher for Major League Baseballs Milwaukee Brewers from 1992 to 1999. He was an All-Star in 1999, becoming the first Australian player to appear in an All-Star game. He ended his Major League career on 837 games played, 789 hits, 105 home runs and a .284 career batting average. ...Nilsson previously played for the Brisbane Bandits and Melbourne Reds in the now-defunct Australian Baseball League where he holds the record for all time batting average (.351) and all time slugging average (.661). In the 2004 Olympics he won a historic silver medal, and also represented his country in the inaugural World Baseball Classic in 2006. He is currently head coach of the Australian MLB Academy, and in 2018 became manager of the Australian national baseball team. In 2018, he was named as one of the Queensland Greats by Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. David also shared about his son, Jacob, who is battling cancer. 10.01.2022 18 Dads and their daughters took part in the annual Father Daughter camping weekend at Sandy Creek. New friendships were forged, father daughter bonds strengthened and heart warming affirmations were spoken to daughters. A massive thank you to Warren Wood and the founding fathers for their vision and commitment over the last 8 years. Stay tuned for next year!

08.01.2022 Thanks to all the men who came to the Mens Retreat over the weekend. It was a great weekend of: connecting with God and other blokes; being challenged by bible based messages from Jason Elsemore and Dave Newton; listening to blokes stories of Gods goodness around a camp fire and seeing lives transformed. We look forward to seeing you there next year.
