Bright Tank Brewing and Otherside Brewing Co. have created BRIGHT SIDE OF THE MOON... a... wait for it WHITE STOUT. This brew features coffee, white chocolate and vanilla flavour notes The Seasonal Brewing Company have created for us, a GOURDGEOUS GOSE! Brewed as a kettle soured gose, fresh watermelon and cucumber juice was added to the secondary fermentation providing enough character to make its presence known without being a novelty. The Monk Brewery & Kitchen with their SZECHUAN FINGER LIME SAISON! Savoury, spicy and perfumed expression of a farmhouse classic Indian Ocean Brewing Co. has created BLUEBERRY PANA COTTA!! To create this Milk Shake Sour theyve taken the finished beer and put it over a substantial amount of fresh blueberries from Gingin, added vanilla bean, lactose and then nitrogenated it. Malts: Volume: 375ml can Price: $9.00 per can - $34.00 per 4-Pack Standard Drinks: 2.3 Freshness: Canned; 23.03.20 Best Before; 23.03.21 Consumed; 28.03.20 "Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits" (Samuel Butler)...And so we also gain (in abundance) the arrival of some excellent local Reds Ales, IPAs & IIPAs from the likes of; Boston Brewing Co, Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co, Freestyle Brewing Co, Innate Brewers, Margaret River Brewhouse, Nail Brewing Co, Otherside Brewing Co... (did I miss anyone?) One of my most highly anticipated releases for this Autumn was the return of Bright Tank Brewing Cos superb Big Red Smeg Head Imperial IPA. This years batch features an amended hop recipe which has produced a smoother, better balanced version than its predecessor. The original version consisted of Citra only however Big Red Smeg Head V2.0 uses a combination of Citra, Cascade & Centennial hops to produce a much more interesting beer with greater depth of flavour & complexity. Full-flavoured & medium-bodied, sweet caramel/toffee flavours harmonize with spectacular juicy citrus (grapefruit, orange, lime) & restrained tropical flavours. As the beer warms the complexities shine through & elevate to an ethereal level. Aromas of warm caramel/toffee, citrus (grapefruit, orange, lime), tropical (passionfruit, melon, gooseberry) & a delightful pine resin dankness unite triumphantly in a fascinating rust-coloured body to deliver an enlightening sensorial experience. At 7.8% ABV this is not an overly strong or intense Double IPA and although there is a soothing hint of booziness evident, this beer has fantastic drinkability. The bitterness is firm & lingering, delivering a beautifully balanced beer that is totally moreish. The mouthfeel is delightfully smooth & mellow with a clean, dry finish. Bright Tank Brewings retooling of Big Red Smeg Head has resulted in a stunning red Imperial IPA that is drinking better than ever! #keepinglocalalive #betterredthandead
