17.01.2022 "My parents were instrumental in nurturing my relationship with God by offering me an encouraging Christian home as a solid foundation for my childhood. This led me to invite Jesus into my life at the age of seven! Unfortunately, after dedicating great time and energy into raising me and my siblings, my parent’s marriage suffered, and they later divorced. I was 20 at the time and although my childhood was behind me, it was a devastating shock. That solid foundation that I had... once relied so heavily upon seemed to have some huge cracks in it. Whilst balancing this stress with study and an exciting but busy engagement period (love you @Jj Routley!) the stress caught up to me. I soon developed severe acne as one of those symptoms. I became very self-conscious and as a dance teacher who needs a lot of confidence to front up to a class, this caused me great anxiety. I battled with re-occurring panic attacks and bouts of depression. I began to lose weight and wasn’t in a good place mentally, physically, or spiritually. I also suffered with debilitating Endometriosis which led to a major operation. At my lowest point I found myself crying out to God for help. My faith grew incredibly during this time. I learnt how to trust God and that my full confidence and identity is grounded in Him alone. I realised that God was never absent, He was always at work but was rebuilding my foundation on His security and assurance. God is good and has turned my pain into an opportunity to mentor and witness to the young girls that I teach, especially in regard to self-esteem and identity issues. I'm so thankful for where God has taken me, with a loving husband, beautiful parents who are now great friends, and my dream job!" - Bec #faith #testimonytuesdays #prayer

14.01.2022 Have you ever received a promise from God? The Bible is filled with God’s promises to us. But what happens when the word spoken over your life hasn’t come to pass? Do you question God’s validity and wonder if what you heard was right? Do you doubt and argue or find reasons to create more doubt in your mind? Or do you press in by faith knowing that No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him? (1 Corin 2:9) The bot...tom line here is that no matter what was spoken over you, God is your Alpha and Omega. He is your beginning and the end. We cannot give up hope just because we haven’t seen His promises come to pass in our lives. Trust that our good Father is working it all out in His time. Believe with faith that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than you can ever imagine. Hold onto your faith and wait patiently for the Lord. 03.01.2022 Last week, we hosted our Volunteer Appreciation Night online and sent grazing boxes to all our amazing volunteers. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10) This year our volunteers have done just that, going above and beyond during the pandemic - and for that, we want to say a big thank you again! 02.01.2022 So many people get caught up with trying to create the perfect prayers that they can get lost in the process and give up. There can never be the perfect prayer. God doesn’t care about perfection at all. It’s not about using big words, finding the right bible verses or even speaking a certain Godly language at all. Prayers are literally a conversation with God. Think about a friend who you trust and confide in. Think about how you communicate and tell this person about all you...r cares in the world. That’s exactly how you should pray to God. God doesn’t care about who you are or where you are on your journey. He doesn’t care about how you structure your sentences or how long you haven’t spoken to him. He doesn’t care if you’re in the car, in the shower or at work. And you definitely don’t have to be in church to pray to God. All He wants is to hear from you and to have a real relationship with you. So the next time you think about praying, don’t get put off because you think your prayers are not special enough or that you’re not worthy enough for God to hear your prayers. He knows your concerns before you even tell him anyway but He’s waiting for you to trust and confide in Him, just like you would your dear friend. So go on, tell Jesus about what you are concerned about and be real with him. Sometimes, it can be as simple as, Jesus, I need you, please help me. He’s right there and He’s listening. He loves you so much and He’s waiting for you to talk to him and trust him to come through for you. It doesn’t matter how early or how late it is in the day, He’s there for you 24/7, everyday of the year.
