23.01.2022 The great un-bread; a tale of cheese toasties. We gloved up, we buttered, we toasted! Phew! The Cheese Toasty Day was a success! Thank you H and Sue; my trusty side-kicks!! Who knew that cheese toasties could be that much fun? Pre-making the toasties on mass and then hand delivering them to the desks of my co workers in a very busy call centre was tricky, but achievable. H and I used every sandwich press in the place to cook the pre-made beauties, it certainly got us talking ...about RizeUp! There were some special people who chose not to clog their arteries and donated anyway! With two others who dressed up in honour of the day. Yes! Jessica dressed up as an actual cheese toasty and James wooed the cheese toasties with a nice candle lit desk and a special looking suit! We raised $250, woohoo. Not a bad effort for a morning. 09.01.2022 I took the opportunity for a little runcation. I was guest speaker at an IWD function yesterday with RizeUp in Brisbane City. Thanks to my friend Travel Managers - Anna Curran who got me a good deal on a funky little city apartment I was able to get two city runs in. This morning’s run was dark but there were heaps of people out getting their run/walk/bike on. I came across a 100K marking on a path and my ultramarathoner head wondered what course this was.
