21.01.2022 About an hour transit here in KL, a 40 minute flight and then a 7 hour wait in Singapore. The good news it that the Qantas First Class Lounge - Singapore is great. Time to progress my Safe Helidecks Pty Ltd visit report!!

20.01.2022 I just see on Marine Traffic that the Drill Rig ENSCO 5006 is off the coast of Alang, India - This is where the worlds largest marine graveyard is, so I am gu...essing that it is about to be recycled (i.e scraped!!). Such a shame to see this once proud Drill Rig being cut up and reduced to rubble. See more

20.01.2022 ***UPDATE SHD goes back to work*** After 3-months of COVID 19 induced holiday(!) its time to go back to work! I have just spent 2 weeks (i.e. 18 days!) of WA... Police self-isolation in Perth, WA and are completing 8 days of customer organised controlled-isolation. On Monday morning (03:00AM) I will hop onto a bus to Perth Airport, a charter flight to northern WA, and onto a waiting Sikorsky S92 helicopter that will take me to our offshore jobs. I have about 2 weeks on our contracted customer facilities, followed by an overnight on the mainland before heading back out to sea for another week on a new customer facility (we have just been awarded approved supplier status for this very large drilling operator). With international boarders continuing to be closed, our focus has turned to providing AU customers a better service. So, Safe Helidecks are in the process of opening a Perth (CBD) office and I will remain here for the foreseeable future. #safehelidecks #safeheliports #safevertiports

12.01.2022 Having a beer and dinner here after a huge days work on a Helideck on a massive Drill Rig thats headed down to AU Waters for a 5 year contract. Nice place, but being a Sunday night, its full of kids!!!!

09.01.2022 Keppel Offshore & Marine, have deployed the floating accommodation vessel Floatel Triumph to temporarily house healthy foreign workers during COVID-19. This vessel was used offshore Western Australia from 2017 to 2019 and has about 300 hotel style rooms. I have enjoyed many a night on the Floatel Triumph and she has one of the best helidecks that Safe Helidecks Pty Ltd has inspected...

08.01.2022 The Antarctic Icebreaker RSV Nuyina looks ready to set sail but the COVID19 pandemic has delayed important harbour and sea trials before final acceptance. We can but admire this recent drones eye view taken at Damen Shipyards Galai, Romania. Safe Helidecks Pty Ltd was involved with the helideck and winching area initial planning at the Damen Vlissingen Engineering Office, The Netherlands June 2018 and was looking forward to seeing her in AU waters a few months ago!

08.01.2022 It may be decision time for Shell. Such a shame, an ambitious program that may not have worked. First saw her whilst under construction in South Korea, now I only get to see her from a distance every time I’m in the ICHTHYS LNG field.
