15.01.2022 The official turning of the first sod at 'Brightwater Inglewood' was held in January this year. It celebrated the commencement of construction of our new intergenerational campus, which will include a contemporary 128 bed residential aged care community, a dedicated research centre and a new corporate office. 12.01.2022 We are very grateful for the amazing team at Get Scrubbed WA Ltd who have donated a huge number of cloth masks to Brightwater, many of which have already been delivered to our Supported Independent Living clients earlier this year. We will be delivering more of these masks this week to our clients living in their own homes.

03.01.2022 At the forefront of being prepared, we have trained over 65 staff members for a specialised surge workforce, as part of our ongoing pandemic response. Thank you to each and every staff member who has volunteered to be part of this team - who are now leaders in our organisation and have been sharing what they have learnt with colleagues and championing our COVID-19 response across the organisation.

03.01.2022 Fourteen clients from across our disability services business participated in the Brightwater Getaway Camp in December, sponsored by our friends at Downer EDI Mining. Facilitated by Cahoots, the three days of fun were hosted at the Swan Valley Adventure Centre and included activities such as team building exercises, ball games, outdoor challenges, fishing, a high adrenaline ropes course, movie night, a BBQ and much more. Thank you to everyone who was involved to make this possible.

01.01.2022 At our Annual General Meeting this year, two Brightwater staff members were awarded scholarships to conduct a project or research study that creates opportunities to improve the quality of life for our clients. Congratulations to Brightwater Speech Pathologist Niall Taylor for being awarded the Don Hutchinson Scholarship for his dysphagia screening tool project, and to Brightwater Counsellor Keith Bocks for being awarded the Peter Lane Scholarship for his pastoral care service project.
