19.01.2022 Brad Hardie match worn.... One of the most famous long sleeve wearers of all time and inducted into hall of fame last year. After winning the Brownlow from a back pocket in 1985 he became an original bear in 87..At the bears he became a classy forward pocket leading the goalkicking in 1989 (54 goals) & 1990 (37) I was lucky enough to Aquire this jumper via trade about five years ago.. I believe it is from 1988 because of the position of the VFL logo...The photos are from my private collection and are from 1987 & 89...Enjoy

19.01.2022 What were the players wearing when they ran on to the MCG on a cold night on Mar 27 1987 against North for the Bears first official VFL/AFL game???...It was these yellow puma jackets without a sponsor...The Bears didn’t have a major sponsor until 1989..I have also added a photo of the clubs first polo...

06.01.2022 Remembering the Bears famous reserves flag of 1991...This was the year Rob Walls joined the club and started to promote youth at the expense of some seasoned Bears veterans...This inadvertently, strengthened the magoos team....After doing some research this jumper was worn during the reserves, season by the 16 year old Paul O’Brien from cooporoo as part of club policy of giving young locals an opportunity....He never played a senior game at the club..It is also interesting to note that this was the first and only season fosters was the major sponsor..This was the bears alternate jumper which was worn proudly in the 91 flag....Most of the 91 jumpers were then reused for the pre season of the 92 season before the jumper design changed (v shape) for the season Proper.....Enjoy

05.01.2022 Not Part of the Bears collection but since these guys are new legends I thought it was appropriate to share these two gems..One is Simon Blacks 01 GF match worn which I had professionally photo matched and even had Blacky confirm he wore 2 On the day when I contacted him on FB...This jumper was from the 2nd half he still has the one from the 1st half. Jon Browns 04 GF match worn was purchased a few months ago directly from the property manager from that years personal collection....He said Browny could wear up to 3 jumpers per game...Enjoy

02.01.2022 Hello new likers today I have put up a 1989 match worn Mike Richardson jumper. Richo was an original Bear..I was lucky enough to have 2 original photos that matched..the VFL banned Players from altering jumpers in 89 after bears players and a few other around the league started to cut sleeves just above the elbow...More stories and photos of the collection to come
