24.01.2022 looking forward to getting back in the pool soon.

23.01.2022 The most anticipated game of the decade? How good is it to be back in the water? Thanks to everyone who attended our first socially distanced game.

23.01.2022 Its time to start getting our house in order. The committee has been busy behind the scene trying to prepare ourselves for when we can resume hockey and we will be releasing our COVID management plan at the appropriate time. We are asking our members to do whatever you can to help make this process as easy as possible. One of the things you can do now is to check that your membership fees are fully paid so that we are able to ensure that our insurance etc is not going to be a problem. Remember that there is an early bird discount still available if you pay your fees now. Thank you in advance and we are looking forward to getting you back in the water.

22.01.2022 Thanks for the great game last night. Fast clean hockey and plenty of calories burned.

22.01.2022 Come on Brisbane let's see you in the pool.

19.01.2022 And so we come to the the end of an " interesting " year of underwater hockey in Brisbane. Thanks for playing and have a safe and relaxing Christmas break. We look forward to seeing you all back in the pool enjoying the hockey in the new year.

18.01.2022 Just a reminder that tonight's game is an A grade game with 10 players coming up from the Gold coast As we are restricted to a maximum of 20 players please don't expect to be included if you haven't registered on team app Thanks to all our regular players for giving us this opportunity, we look forward to seeing you in the pool on Monday night.

18.01.2022 Looks like we have a full house tonight 2 games of 5 a side or 3 way rotation with 6.6 per team ? Or 1 game with 4 subs ?

18.01.2022 And the winner is.....Underwater hockey. Thanks to the players who travelled to Brisbane tonight to share a fast and friendly game of hockey with long lost rivals. And a very big thank you to our regular players who forfeited their Thursday night Hockey to help us accommodate our limit of 20 players.

17.01.2022 Thanks for the feature Simply Stories

16.01.2022 A rule reminder from Angus our chief ref. A player has the puck and drops it to their hip to prevent a defender from accessing it, then swims down the pool. Legal? Angus response:... You can legally swim the entire length of the court with the puck on your hip UNTIL SOMEBODY GOES TO TACKLE YOU (why would you swim it that way? you have limited control, and few options with the puck on your hip, and it sets you up for an obstruction. Lots of ref's with trigger fingers will call it). The instant somebody gets to tackling you, and you having the puck on your hip INTENTIONALLY impeding access to the puck, it’s an OBSTRUCTION. It changes from plain possession to using your body to block access to the puck. A curl is allowed, as long as possession of the puck is maintained. See more

15.01.2022 What does it mean to you to be a part of the Brisbane Barracudas Underwater Hockey club?

14.01.2022 Eaten to much this festive season? Hot humid weather getting to you? There is only one way to fix this, see you in the pool tomorrow.

14.01.2022 Thanks to Jaden for visiting BUWH for this story.

14.01.2022 The good news is that we are allowed to start playing hockey again on Monday night. There will be social distancing regulations in place and we are limited to 20 players as well as some other measures. These are the minimum requirements!... Only players who have read and acknowledged our Covid19 management plan may participate Only players registered on the Team-app may participate Only paid up club members may attend. Also you need to be swim-ready on arrival. No change room is available. Although this is a bit tedious it's a small price to pay to be back in the water. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and we are looking forward to seeing you in the pool tomorrow. *** The Plan and Maps are now on Team-App under document section!***

04.01.2022 Our web site is finally functioning again. Keep an eye it for the next few weeks as we implement some improvements. Thank you to Shadowtek for exceptional service https://www.shadowtek.com.au/

01.01.2022 If there is one thing the corona virus has taught us it's don't take your next game of hockey for granted. Which begs the question-where the bloody hell are you?
